Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
Chatbots.Studio is a conversation platforms and chatbots builder based in Ukraine with Departments in the Netherlands, Canada. The main specialization is chatbot development and integration with client business processes in the following industries: finance, banking, insurance, e-commerce, telecommunications. Currently, these bots hold over 2,500 conversations an hour in Facebook Messenger, Viber, Telegram and Skype.

I am Chatbots.Studio Co-Founder and Head of the Sales & Marketing Department.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
As entrepreneurs, I wanted to make businesses automated and free up staff to concentrate on the important things rather than routine work. So, the key idea here was to bring value for business owners for process automation.
What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have an in-house team with 25 workers.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
In addition to development, we help our clients to understand real customer needs and built a strategy on how to cover them. That is the main difference compared to our competitors.
Also, we always measure chatbot’s value. Taking into account sales stats from one of our clients, the revenue has grown up to 30% after chatbot implementation.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive?
The agency is developing AI platforms for chatbot management, and chatbot themselves, for industries such as banking, insurance, telecom, retails, beauty, hotels, medicine, education, real-estate and more. Some of our clients come back to build one solution; others bring friends to us as a trusted chatbot development vendor.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing software.
There are several factors that determine the duration of a chatbot development project.
1) The list of languages that have to be supported by the chatbot.
2) The need to have AI in the bot.
3) Complexity of integration with back-end systems.
4) The complexity of the conversation itself.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of software?
In chatbots the development of the front-end is pretty simple and typically takes about 20-30 of the whole projects, while the remaining effort is taken for the backend portion. If the bot has a strong AI component, the frontend part will be accountable for about 50% of the project effort.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right framework for developing software?
The key parameters to be considered before selecting the right framework for developing a chatbot or conversational platform are:
• AI presence in the framework
• Developers’ availability to build the software using framework that we want to use
• Framework’s development perspective in the future
Which languages & frameworks do you prefer to use in development of software?
Languages: Node.js, Angular, React.js.
Frameworks: DialogFlow, Node-red, Microsoft Bot Framework, Wit.ai, IBM Watson
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of software?
At first, we find out clients` requirements and functions of chatbots. Another factor that you need to pay attention is if the software needs to be scalable and grow with your business. The third and crucial thing is what integrations need to be done during development.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
As a professional chatbot development company we are able to properly estimate the project and thus work with our clients upon different fixed priced models (per project, per milestone and etc.) in case requirements are clear and could be estimated from the very beginning. Otherwise, we would recommend the client to work according to hourly rates.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We prefer to work on the projects with the minimum budget of 5000 USD, that is the project that requires custom chatbot development, and we are the best in that area.

Our project starts at 5000 USD for the individual chatbot and ending to 200000 USD for the complicated conversational platforms.
