Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Adsup.me - UA mobile marketing agency.

We have been working in digital advertising since 2013 and we know exactly how to provide stable profitable traffic for our clients, as well as have successfully reached new markets for about 100 clients.

Proof of our work is >300 successful projects, in e-commerce, ride-hailing, games, FMCG, finance, food&drinks. Our clients' names are known to all: Yandex, VK, inDriver, Joom, eFun, Savings Services, LaModa, Delivery Club, Camel games, DiDi, X5 Retail Group, Smart Project.
What is the story behind starting this company?
Adsup officially appeared in St. Petersburg on January 16, 2013. Her staff started with a group of friends who really wanted to create something cool together, and they definitely succeeded.
 
Me, Evgenii Bykov, and Andrey Olhin created everything from scratch, literally working at the same table in a tiny room, but at the same time they really liked their work - after all, they not only worked damn hard but also spent time with their friends - colleagues. Gradually, the staff was replenished with powerful specialists, who were also included in the close circle of the guys, but now we have more than 30 people!

Despite the fact that there are already so many of us, Adsup has not lost its chip - focus on teamwork, not individualism.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
Our company is engaged in the promotion of mobile applications. We carry out all processes within the company, as we have 9 years of expertise and a cool media buying team, designers, and account department. Basically, we help big and not-so-big companies find their target audience, even if they have their own in-house teams.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
In fact, we are friends with all the competitors. The digital sphere is a huge community of friends, we all started together and help each other. If one of the clients needs to develop a website or application, we advise our colleagues/competitors. Naturally, there is a business code that no one violates. We do not disclose customer data and what is under NDA.

A distinctive feature of adsup.me is the success of the client for us in the first place. We fulfill this condition one hundred percent. That is why 95% of clients have been working with us for more than 3 years.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We help many mobile applications, for 9 years we have promoted a lot of verticals: >300 successful projects, in e-commerce, ride-hailing, games, FMCG, finance, food&drinks.

Many of our clients have been with us for 2 to 3 years. There are suspensions of advertising companies, usually, this happens due to the decision of client companies to redistribute budgets or if the company's head office has changed its strategy. Suppose a decision was made not to promote a mobile application to a particular region of the country. Then the ad stops. At such moments, we, as digital partners, help with advice and analytics.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Promotion of mobile applications. is a set of services. To take first place in the stores, we offer comprehensive solutions. Therefore, a one-word answer will not work here. Actually, the 3rd party UA is necessary to be engaged in 4 major cases:
  • Mastering - if the developer doesn’t have in-house UA, or if they do, the in-house team cannot effectively master the one or several sources;
  • Scaling - the in-house UA, for some reason, cannot successfully scale up the UA activities, so they engage contractors with their experience and fresh look to do so;
  • Penetration - the developers want to penetrate the new market, where they are not experienced, so that is a good idea to connect with experienced 3rd party, watch, learn, and receive real revenue same time;
  • The last, but not the least - a fresh look at ad creatives; even very good UA teams face the crisis of lack of new ideas from time to time, the situation is not unusual, and 3rd party’s experience will be really helpful, not very beneficial for the contractor, however.

As the modern market is at the saturation stage already, for the last couple of years, we were mostly engaged in penetration, scaling, and creative ideas. And we’re really good at it.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
The interaction between the digital agency and the client is based on the fulfillment of KPIs. To fulfill them, you need to have a good understanding of the client, the consumer, and all traffic sources. It's definitely something we're good at.

To make the client happy, you need to understand the requirements of the client, in digital we call this "customer pain". Thanks to 9 years of expertise, we know the benchmarks and therefore we build the process of promoting advertising campaigns much faster than many other companies. In addition, our account department team is always in touch with our clients, we provide reports on each step of advertising. Data transparency is one of the important factors in our work.

Based on customer feedback, we can say that a strong account department is definitely half the success of your company. Our designers always prepare creatives promptly, so we prevent creative burnout. If a company's creative has burned out and your digital agency hasn't replaced it, then you'll lose traffic. This does not happen in adsup.me. Our team monitors all processes in a timely manner.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
For each client company, we assign an account manager, media buyer, and a team of designers. Communication takes place in a special chat where our team answers all questions throughout the project. We meet with our clients, we visit their offices and for us, they are more than just clients.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
It depends on what you concern as a payment structure.

We can afford to cooperate via almost any payment model.
CPI (Cost Per Install), CPI + KPIs (usually Retention Rate, Loyal, Level Achievement, etc), Fee Basis (CPI with KPIs using the customer’s budget), any kind of CPA (Cost per Action such as registration, unique paying user, purchase), riskless RevShare (Revenue Share) and LTPS (Lifetime Profit Share).
 
As per the payment conditions, we prefer to cooperate with net10/net15 but will be glad to consider net30 as well. Actually, we are pretty flexible with a payment model to cooperate. It always depends on each and every specific customer, his goal, situation, and the matters of reasonability.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If not, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We cannot provide specific information. We approach each order individually. We have clients who order creatives from us, we have clients that we have been offering for 3 years, and we also receive recommendations for new companies and small companies. I can say for sure that we process any request and take into account the wishes of customers.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?
Some say this question might be pretty tricky, is it? Not many companies like to share their financial flow.

The only way to answer it properly is to give an honest answer. At this point, we are pretty flexible as well. We had some projects with a couple of thousand dollars media spend, some projects, however, had several millions of annual media spend.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
This is a very interesting question. Adsup.me is constantly evolving, we are creating new departments and new unique projects. Such development depends on trends, which are very dynamic. Therefore, the main key to success is an adaptation to the dynamic digital market. What is behind these words? Behind these words, constant training, and obtaining certificates from sites such as TikTok or Google for employees, is a brand change. I can say for sure that even after 10 and 20 years we will still help each application find its audience!

Our solution

Our subsidiary of Rebound Mobile exclusively represented Dragon Soul in Russia. At the first stage, the game was fully localized for Russian-speaking users. The second stage was the acquisition of loyal users. We used our internal media buying, as well as leading traffic suppliers in Russia and all the best sources: MyTarget, Facebook, in-app ads and others. Every day, adhered to the following scheme of work:
– A team of Adsup media buyers and third-party agencies were looking for new approaches.
Our designers produced dozens of video and image ad creatives.
– Complete analysis of all traffic for each source.
– Identify and disconnect traffic sources that do not satisfy the set KPI, in the context of ROAS and Retention Rate. Scale up the best performing campaigns

For three years of work, we have worked all possible audiences and have found the perfect approach to promotion for each.
Dragon Soul was in the TOP 10 in the App Store Russia and Google Play Russia in the category “Games” for two years. During peak periods, the Dragon Soul reached the 7th place in the App Store Overall and 5th place in the Google Play Overall.

For 3 years of cooperation with PerBlue, Adsup team acquired more than 1M of users directly by paid acquisition and 3M users by organic boost. More than $2M of revenue, and only produced by users, acquired by paid acquisition. Recently after we’ve stopped our cooperation PerBlue sold Dragon Soul to GREE for $35M.

We were able to target Dragon Soul not only on the male audience but also the female, thanks to the excellent design and element of humor, all the characters had a funny “trick”. Such results were achieved thanks to the unusual and new mechanics of the game for 2015.

Our solution

Obviously, the success of almost any headhunting apps is based on multiple aspects, such as: labor market tendencies, sezonality, economical factors and many others critical aspects.

According to these factors, Adsup’s main goals was to identify the most popular types of jobs and their target audience. During the deep market analysis we’ve decided to focus our approaches on part-time jobs at first, because it can provide an additional income for people. And who need additional income more than a student in Russia? Probably no one. Thus, we focus on this target audience, picking up a lot of cool creative approaches, even humorous; needless to say, that humor helped us a lot in this advertisement campaign. 
After that, we started to implement creatives aimed at full-time jobs from driver to top management – and Adsup found a proper creative approach for each of this target group.

And a little piece of “insides”  – Adsup team confirmed the common truth, that a new life always begins on Monday, thus, CR in install is highest in Monday  (:

The efficient advertising approach to each and every GEO is the foundation of our solutions with inDriver in particular and almost any advertiser in common. Our solution

Main goals of this campaign were: daily inflow of large amount of top quality traffic, inflow of loyal users and expansion into Russian and European market. This offer includes several major KPIs, such as Retention Rate, Loyalty Level of users and reaching of 5th Level inside the game.
Our team perform the optimization of all active campaigns on a regular basis in order to identify and scale up the most effective ones and to shut down those that didn’t reach performance identificators.
We are permanently looking for new approaches and testing them on different target groups.
Supplying the RPG with a large volume of good traffic on everyday basis is a pretty tough challenge, but we successfully manage it.
