Founded in 2010, ChromeInfo Technologies popularly known as ChromeInfotech is a leading Full StackApp Development Company headquartered in India. We are known for delivering high-quality Mobile Apps Designing and Development services to Startups and Enterprises. We have developed apps for brands like Ruger, Coty, Cengage which are been recognized by AppStore and GooglePlay and for startups like StanPlus, Stickearn, Kecyhn who have been successful in acquiring funding of more than USD 2 Million.
I am the Managing Director at ChromeInfotech responsible for overall performance of the company and achieving its mission and vision through framing strong business strategies.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
I have been a technology geek since school days and was always busy experimenting with new technologies which later turned into my passion. With the start of Mobile Apps era, I decided to start an organization which can design and develop mobile apps as per recent technology trends and offers most innovative and stylish solutions to people around the world. Back of the mind, I also wanted to open job opportunities for fresh talent in India.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We believe in taking care of each phase of Software Development Life Cycle in-house as QUALITY is our utmost priority. We have an in-house team of 80+ which includes, Developers (Frontend and Backend), UI/UX Designers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Business Analyst, Project Managers and Technical Architect.
How is your business model beneficial from a value-added perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
When we start working on a project we consider it as our product to come out with best results. We start with SWOT analysis of the competitors so that we have a clear vision of how it needs to be designed and developed giving an edge over its competitors. We have a separate team of Suggestion Makers, who analyze the complete project to provide suggestions on the features which could be beneficial for the app and could really make the workflow of the app simple and easy to use.
We also believe an app which has an attractive user interface and technically stable captures the market fast, therefore we have some very experienced and innovative designers in our team who brainstorm on design ideas to come out with unique designs and to make an app stable in the market we offer support after its launch.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
Over a span of 8 years, we have been successful in serving the majority of the industries like Healthcare, Education, Retail, Sports, Events, Food, Entertainment, Marketing & Sales, On Demand Economy, real estate, Finance & Taxation and more.
We always aim for building a long-term relationship and that’s the reason that 64% of our clients are repetitive. We make sure we deliver a most valuable experience to our clients and work as their technology partner rather than just a vendor.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
The time frame to develop any mobile application entirely depends on the requirement of the app, the complexity of the features to be developed, the technology involved, platforms on which it is to be developed, User Interface and User Experience and Backend development. All of these factors play a very important role in estimating the right efforts to develop an app.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
An app can be developed in a month’s time or could take a year to be ready, so it’s difficult to give specific weeks or hours to develop the front end and backend of the app as it again depends on the complexity of the features involved, UI development and platforms to develop an app. Ideally, on an average app takes 3 months of time to get ready after thorough testing.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
There is a number of parameters which help us in determining the right platform for a mobile application; the first one is the target country of the client; we recommend iOS when the USA is the target country as its more popular than Android and Android for Europe. Similarly, both the platforms have different technology restrictions which are also considered before selecting the right platform. Apart from them, budget, third-party integration, security challenges and potential updates on the platform are some of the other parameters we consider.
Which platform do you suggest your clients, to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
Generally, clients have a clear vision of what needs to be developed and on which platform, to suit the needs of their target audience and budget. But whenever they need our assistance we suggest them based on their targeted countries, audience, technology, third party involvements, and security challenges.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
Again, it entirely depends on the project requirements and budget of the client. A hybrid could be best for apps which does not involve much custom UI or hardware functionalities while Native could be good for complex applications as they good performance over Hybrid apps.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
The key factors we consider determining the cost of mobile application development are the complexity of features to be developed, Platform to be involved (iOS, Android, Web, SmartTV), Custom UI Design, Backend development & Complexity involved, Nature of the app (Native or Hybrid) and Third-party integrations.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We follow different payment structure as per the need of the project and Client. Generally, we go with Pay per milestone which could be in phases or months.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
No, we do not have any minimum budget requirement for development as apart from Mobile App Development we also offer Web development, UI designing, Requirement Gathering and Testing services where project even starts from $1000 onwards.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2017?
We have never restricted our services to price and always open to working on projects of the different price range. In 2017, we worked from $8,000 to $250000.
Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
We suggest a business model after understanding the project requirement as we cannot use the same business model in all projects to generate revenue. Some of the most common monetization models are Premium Model, In-App Purchases, Subscription plan within the app, Advertisements & Sponsorships.
