Solution Delivered:

Having evaluated the challenges that Momentum India was facing while using multiple webmail services, CloudFronts consulted them to establish an entirely new set up on Office 365. The team carried out Email Migration to Office 365 from other systems. By availing ‘Resource Scheduling Settings’ in Office 365 (Exchange Online), the client can now schedule meetings, appointments and accordingly, dispatch the right sources.

SharePoint Online was integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 so that client’s team can use the document management capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint from within Dynamics 365. With this, they could store and manage documents in the Dynamics 365 record on a SharePoint server and leverage the SharePoint infrastructure to share, manage and collaborate efficiently and in a secured environment. A subsequent Training session provided by CloudFronts helped the client’s team to operate Office 365 services seamlessly.

As Momentum India grew bigger as an organization and catering to multi-dimensional clients across several sectors, there was a dire need of a solution which could manage their project service delivery. The biggest challenge they face was regarding scheduling of resources. Being a unique professional service organization, it was bound to be human intensive. Keeping these challenges in mind, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Project Service Automation was a perfect fit. The client is the fastest growing seating brand in the United States. The client corporation designs, manufactures, and distributes seating solutions for business, healthcare, government, and education markets. It offers task/work chairs, conference chairs, multipurpose chairs, cafe/task stools, and several kind of chairs. The company serves customers through commercial furniture distributors.

Business Requirement:

The client approached CloudFronts with following requirements –

  1. The client was looking to integrate incoming orders from distributors into Dynamics AX 2012 R3 and providing acknowledgment of order receipt for the same.
  2. They needed a Queuing mechanism to process all orders without overloading the system and AX server.
  3. Their distributors needed the ability to send orders through the internet in XML (OFDA XSD), and since there can be multiple orders through multiple distributors, the client needed a Queuing mechanism to process all orders without overloading the system and AX server.

Solution Delivered:

CloudFronts came up with a straight and simple solution to resolve the challenges.

The team leveraged the potential of Azure Web API, Scribe Online and Connectors. There are two types of Connectors used for this purpose. First is the Messaging Framework, which acts as the bridge between the external (distributor) system and Scribe Online and second is the AX connector, which uses AX AIF service to perform CRUD (create, read, update and delete) operations on sales orders.

The above built AX connector also processes the XML from Messaging Framework and maps the fields to proxy class fields from the AIF Service.

CloudFronts implemented Azure Site Recovery (ASR), as a part of BCDR (Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery) strategy, for reducing application downtime during IT interruptions to enhance compliance. In this, the team replicated workloads running on physical and virtual machines (VMs) from a primary site to a secondary location. In case, if an outage occurs at the primary site, you switch over to secondary location safely and access apps from there. Once the primary location is restored, HLM can resume using it again.
