A member of their team, Luis Sanchez was in charge of the project, we had several meetings to define the content and structure of the first sites. Later, he presented us graphic proposals and based on this, they began to develop. During development there were adjustments

We start by planning the different stages of development with the support of an architect and the design area. We already had a system made in .NET, so the new platform was programmed in the same language. The development had different variables which took a year to complete, currently we continue working with them with support and system improvements.

Solid communication skills

Comparing them with the company I had worked with before, their communications are way superior. I always know exactly what they're working on, specifically the stage of the process where they're at. In addition, they're always upfront whenever things might take longer than expected. However, for the most part, they've completed things in a timely manner or even ahead of schedule.

Commitment, professionalism, and patience.

We started working with a cloud specialist, who reviewed our current systems and implemented a work plan to migrate to the cloud. The process did not take that long, but we had complications migrating the information as our old servers were constantly crashing due to the workload. Eventually we managed to migrate everything, and from there Codebay has provided us with maintenance services.

They've shown commitment, professionalism, and tolerance to stress. There was a lot of pressure due to the manipulation of sensitive information.

Empathy, professionalism and most importantly: rapid response to incidents

There is constant communication, during the project there is a general review every three weeks; also, we had daily meetings to define activities, which allowed us to have a very quick response to any issue with the platform.

Although the project was not without delays, these were minimal and were quickly corrected. The final project was delivered and implemented without major complications. Currently the Codebay team provides us with support and system updates.

Outstanding team!

Once the first part of the project was released it was a considerable change, we eliminated manual records in the inventories and we managed to digitize our product information.

And something that we did not consider, but had a positive impact, was sending everything to the cloud, when the pandemic hit we were forced to close the offices, so since everything was digital, the administrative functions, new orders, registrations and among others, were not seen affected.

Omnilife - Managment App

Omnilife is a Mexico-based company and the largest in the world that develops high-quality dietary supplements, helping thousands of people to maintain or improve their health.

We designed and implemented a product management app for the product display centers located in Mexico, Cancun, and Guadalajara.

The previously mentioned app, developed with Android, is capable of showing information between different monitors consecutively with a command from a tablet. The user selects the wanted product from the device and the monitors display different graphic elements: the first monitor shows a picture of the chosen product, the second one a small description and the third one an animation of the exact part of the body which will be benefited.

Step Up Learning Co - Cloud System

The company offers online English language learning services, accompanied by native language tutors in individual classes. The company originally from Tulsa, in Oklahoma, has students in different Spanish-speaking countries positioning itself as one of the main platforms in distance learning today.

Issue:
The development and maintenance of the platform was compromised by a development team which did not meet the minimum accepted standards for the growth and support of the system.

The platform began to have a series of anomalies which severely affected its operation.

Solution:
Our team at the time of getting involved in the project began to train the company's programmers and our agile development methodology was implemented, in addition, a communication standard for daily meetings was established with them.

The priority was and continues to be that the current managers know at all times the status of the modules being developed, and that they have knowledge of what is happening with the system (For this, a direct communication channel was created, and a results meeting was scheduled every two weeks).

Currently, errors have been corrected, a more robust server was implemented for the main platform and a test version was created, also due to the implementation of our methodology, the development metrics have been exceeded.

And in addition to the above, our team has become the technical support area for students and teachers.

Issue:
Their previous system for internal training presented a big amount of anomalies in the algorithm and database which generated duplicated information, in addition to errors while executing any process.

Our solution:
A staff training system was developed and implemented in the bank´s local network for six thousand employees.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo - Web Development

Colorado Springs is home to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the “Highest zoo in America,” at an elevation of 6,800 feet above sea level.

Issue:
One of the zoo systems had errors in its programming and it was not possible to modify information supporting the business area for updates on prices, hours and general information during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Solution:
Our team identified the system failures, a diagnosis was made and the different vulnerabilities were repaired; In addition, the platform was migrated to a separate server to run future tests and modifications, as well as security backups.

We’re Codebay, a nearshore software firm, I’m Alberto Garibay, the founder and CEO of the company.

What is the story behind starting this company?

Codebay was born several years ago under another brand, we developed a medical research platform and to avoid confusion of identity and services, we created a new brand and separated the services into two independent companies.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

All of our developers are in-house.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

We fit a nice niche between low-end freelance marketplaces and high-end outsourcing services that charge premium rates with high overhead for sales, marketing, and project management.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

Health and eCommerce without a doubt; however, we have experience in a large number of industries. I don't know whether to call our clients repetitively since we achieve long-term and happy relationships with the majority.

Each client has a unique payment scheme, but they are usually monthly invoices, depending on the level and experience of each engineer.

Each project has its unique characteristics, and because of our model, we’re open to small projects as well.
