Devathon worked with ideeli to build their online flash sales platform. Every morning a curated set of deals would go live for millions of Ideeli users. Due to the nature of its business, Ideeli would see a sudden surge of traffic at the time deals went live. Ideeli’s backend infrastructure was built to handle 2+ million users/week, 80,000 front-end requests/min & 250+ add-to-carts/second.

Ideeli has raised over $100M before being acquired by Groupon. At one point almost 50% of their globally distributed development team was from Devathon.

Bookish was a joint venture between 3 of the top 5 publishers in the world - Penguin, Hachette, Simon & Schuster. Bookish was a search & recommendation platform for books. World’s first platform to use entire content of millions of books to find patterns and recommend books based on content to readers. It further enabled buying of books and interacting with authors.

Devathon owned the entire product development from idea till their high profile launch which was widely covered in the media - Mashable, LifeHacker, Yahoo, Wall Street Journal, Forbes to name a few.

Entire web layer was built with our team of 9 developers & 5 QAs using Ruby on Rails.

Dote Shopping went on to raise $7.2 million from Lightspeed Venture Partners.
