Kindly share your feedback on how GoodFirms has been doing so far in increasing your visibility among potential clients.

GoodFirms has been a shining light in these dark and tough unprecedented times of Covid-19. The new normal is something every business is getting used to slowly. We’ve been fortunate enough to have partnered with GoodFirms and it has been of immense help in terms of exposure, reputation management and lead generation.

Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?

We at Foreignerds are a tight knit group of hard-working individuals who strive to provide high quality premium services to our clients from 20+ countries across the globe. My current role is focussing on the crisis every business on the planet is facing and steering the ship to safer pastures and making sure we not only survive but grow in the coming quarters by smart strategic decision making and planning.

What was the idea behind starting this organization?

Being the Co-founder of the organization, i’ve been fortunate enough to be there from the start. We started off as a group of hard-working guys with combined experience of 40+ years in the industry and very modest backgrounds and next to nothing in terms of funding. But we sticked together and used teamwork, know-how and most importantly our credit cards 😊 and a little bit of luck maybe and we’ve been fortunate enough to grow at a rate of 200% every year since our inception a few years ago.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third-party vendors/ outsourcing?

We work with some of the biggest Agencies in North America and UK as their White Label partners and Ghost Agency partners. We predominantly work in Virtual Resourcing engagements with most of our clients, but for some of them we make the exception and work on time and material basis sometimes.

How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?

The value-add we bring to the table for our clients is immense. We provide 40-50% cheaper alternatives as compared to an in-house employee and are nearly as cost-effective as freelancers but with the comfort and legal guarantee of an Agency. Other than that, timely delivery of projects and efficient and a potent project management team is something we feel we are much better at as compared to others.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

We appeal to nearly all industries. Basically, anyone who has anything to with maintaining a digital presence and anyhow reliant on Internet for sales, marketing and/or reputation management can be our potential customer. Since we offer such diverse set if services in areas such as, digital marketing, web & custom application development and designing, we appeal to nearly everyone who is running a stable business. Yes, our customers are repetitive and coincidentally we discussed this in a meeting earlier this week, where we found out that our customer retention and repetition rate is around 83% for the past 12 months. Not bad, eh?

Mention the parameters which are most important for you in developing a web design.

We have a set number of parameters and a well-defined process. Our team gathers the requirement specifics from the client and tries to understand what they are trying to achieve with the overall design. After that, we do thorough research on the client’s industry, their competitors, the colour pallets and design aesthetics that suit their industry and appeals to the end-users they are targeting. We focus most of our energy on their customers and that’s the best way to add value to any business and we develop multiple design variants considering all the factors above and finalize one eventually.

What key aspects do you keep in mind while developing a web design in order to enhance its usability?

There is no one answer for all for this. Every client has different preferences and that’s what we try and focus on. If someone is looking to do extensive marketing, then the UI/UX will be our main focus and trying to create an interactive design. There is a slightly different approach, if someone wants to focus on performance and things like load-time, end-user performance metrics etc.

What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right framework for web design?

Every framework has its own set of pro’s and con’s. You have to consider things like performance metrics, eCommerce enabling, inventory size (in the case of eCommerce), SEO and Marketing friendliness, simplified back-end management, design aesthetics and custom features and functionalities you are looking to have among many other factors.

Which framework do you suggest your clients to go for when they approach you with an idea? Why?

It depends on the idea and the business model they are looking to implement.  Usually, I recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solution and usually that’s WordPress. Nearly 40% of all websites on the internet are WordPress and that says something, right? So usually that’s the answer.

What are your recommendations when it comes to developing a web design? Which framework do you suggest on working with?

It is mostly Bootstrap, Foundation or Semantic. We use them in most cases in combination with Custom PHP and WordPress.

What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a website design?

We try and keep things simple. We estimate the number of hours that we believe the project would take and multiply it by our hourly costs and add costs like overheads, additional assistance needed from the Project Management, QA team and come up with appropriate numbers.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

Usually we do virtual resource engagements and hence the cost is decided based on factors like the experience, skill-set of the resource,  engagement model (Part-time, Full-time, Hourly) and bill the clients on a monthly basis. In some cases, we do fixed-cost and those arrangements can sometimes have milestones and phase-based payment contingencies.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

Yes, we do have minimum budget requirements. We don’t do projects below the size of $4,000 USD and the only time we allow exception to this rule is when an existing/old client with whom we have a long-term relationship specifically requests for it.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2019?

It is like the 5 fingers. None are of the same size and it varies a lot. We have done projects from the size of $4,000 USD to upto $200,000 USD in the 2019 fiscal year.
