At HeapStash Global, we had the opportunity to work on an innovative project that connects mosques to people attending their religious duties. Our client, NyPhone Inc, approached us with the idea to create an app that would enable mosques to broadcast live events, notifications, sermons, and azan to their subscribers.
We developed Live Mosque, an app that allows mosques to establish a real-time live broadcast link between themselves and their subscribers. This app offers several features such as Live Azan, Events, Notifications, and Live Sermons. With the Live Azan feature, subscribers can listen to azan live without the need to do it manually. The app runs in the background and automatically starts broadcasting even when the phone is locked, making it a perfect solution for azan delivery from mosques to subscribers.
Live Mosque also enables the Imam to create events and notify users about them. The Imam can create notification alerts of salat time change, which will be sent to all subscribers. Additionally, with the Live Sermon feature, the Imam can hold a live sermon, which all subscribers can listen to.
Our team at HeapStash Global developed Live Mosque using native Android APIs, with Google Firebase as the backend. We used Agora SDK for streaming services to support live audio and video streaming features. The app is now running live on TV screens in dozens of mosques in New York City and has thousands of daily active users.
We take pride in the fact that we were able to create an app that connects mosques to their subscribers, making it easier for people to stay connected to their religious communities. With Live Mosque, subscribers can stay informed about the latest events, azan broadcasts, and sermons happening at their local mosque. We are honored to have worked on this project, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will continue to have on the lives of its users.
