Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
Intelligent IT Hub (known as IIH Global) established in 2013 in India providing IT services in various sectors and Industries. We then expanded our reach to the UK in 2015 by opening our Registered branch and having our physical presence since then. We are serving clients from a variety of industries like Recruitment, Pharmaceutical, Real estate, Constructions, Education, etc.
I started as a Business Development Manager in a company since its early days and currently holding a position as CEO managing our Marketing office in the UK as well as managing a development team in our Headquarter.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
Our aim was to help businesses reduce time in their day to day routine and repeated activities by creating custom software for them. Time is money, and we know how valuable it can be for any business to save time from their daily activities by having a software or a CRM which then can be utilized to generate more business and revenue. We also help the business to create their very first online presence with small to larger websites if they are into providing services Or selling products.
What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
Our company's business model consists of our In-house Team.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
By having our UK presence, it certainly helps our clients to ease the communication, but at the same time because our development center is based in India, clients usually get a very cost-effective solution with us - that’s our USP.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive?
As described earlier, we cover quite a different type of industries. It can be anything from recruitment to real estate, medical, or education; we got it all covered.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing software.
It usually comes down to 2 fundamental things when considering the time frame of any development - Designing & Development. We usually tend to get and prepare estimates based on client’s requirement, which we create by asking the right questions and understanding their end goal / what is they are trying to achieve.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of software?
This is depending on the requirement. It can be anything from weeks to months to years.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right framework for developing software?
Again, this usually comes down to the customer’s end goal. For example, if it is a simple website, we go with CMS like WordPress; and if it is software, then we choose technology like PHP in additional to a framework like Laravel. So ultimately, the framework is derived after analyzing the client’s needs.
Which languages & frameworks do you prefer to use in development of software?
We work with different languages like PHP, Python, Magento, Wordpress, etc. Based on what the client is looking for, it will be utilized accordingly.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of software?
Similar to what mentioned in providing a timeline of any software, it comes to down to Designing and Development. Our process of estimation starts with communication, and that includes a set of questions for us to understand the client’s needs.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We have got quite a flexible payment structure in place. It can be fixed cost, hourly, on time, and material basis or can be in different milestones. Depending on what type of project is it and what client’s preference is, the payment terms will be defined accordingly.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Our preferred and minimum project value is £500 + VAT.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?
We have worked on projects starting at £1000 up to £20K to £250K.
