Since 2006 I was involved in digital lead generation and SEO in the rapid-growing software company Parallels in Seattle, WA. In 2009 I founded one of the first web analytics agencies in Russia. Bacula Systems is the leading backup and restore software company, combining enterprise-class open standards software with first-class support and professional services.

This long-term project includes lead generation using PPC advertising in Google Ads, SEO optimization, social network advertising on Twitter and Linkedin, working with referral traffic (mainly with referral sites incl. G2, TrustRadius, PeerInsights, etc.) and lead nurturing using email marketing and display remarketing. During this project I also completed 2 major website redesigns.

We tripled (+300%) the number of leads in only 1 year after the project started and added +150% to the number of opportunities during the 2nd year. This SEO project was running for Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, German and UK markets. The goal was not only to increase the traffic, but also to improve the number of leads from organic traffic and push some of the main keywords to the top-10 in Google ("steel structures", "stahlbauunternehmen", "steel fabrication" and more). 

During the project I worked on the website on-page optimization with the web developers team, off-page linkbuilding, local SEO translations and also generated additional content for the blog.

These activities gave significant results in only 12 months for all the languages. The overall organic traffic grew from 20 to 230 daily visits and we reached the first page in Google for the mentioned keywords. Also by adding relevant call-to-actions we boosted the number of leads from this traffic to >20 per week.

INXY was founded as a dedicated server provider and later has expanded to provide premium CDN solutions on reselling basis. Based on clients' feedback INXY team decided to make a solution for a very common problem: people have hard times dealing with subscriptions, that's how INXY Subscriptions Tracker was born.

I started working with a website made using a landing page builder which made the ranking for competitive keywords like 'subscription tracker', 'subscription finder', etc in the US not possible. So the first step in the project was to completely replace the website platform. The customer chose Laravel framework and I was working on the technical optimization of the new pages, new content for the blog and help sections and off-page linkbuilding. 

During 8 months of work which included a 3-months platform replacement period I was able to deliver the following rankings in the US Google search results: 

  • subscription tracker - 10th place; 
  • subscription finder - 16th place; 
  • track subscriptions - 20th place. 

The organic traffic also grew by 2 times, from 300 to 600 monthly visitors. The project was stopped because of the changes in the investor risk model.

By the middle of 2022 I've increased the overall SEO traffic from 10 to 300-350 visitors per day. The overall amount of organic visitors over the last 16 months equals to 68700. I was also able to put the keywords with a big search volume (>50000 searches/mo.) like "youtube banner", "facebook banner", "banner size" and others to the first page in US search results.

At Cipherpoint I needed to setup lead generation in DACH and APAC regions. Based on the small test budgets, competitor data and experience I've chosen organic SEO, LinkedIn and Google Ads as the main lead sources. 

The paid leadgen started to generate outcomes immediately, at the middle of the project we generated approx. 100 leads / mo. with the average cost per lead about $35 per lead.
