Review Summary

Tracking number Q001470810

I shipped two car parts from Palmerston North to Albany in Auckland Auckland on Monday 07 September 2020.

The good were placed on a pallet and also rapped upon delivery to the receiving Mainfreight branch in Palmerston North.
Upon receiving the goods on Wednesday the 9th of September 2020 I saw there was no pallet and after opening the rapping the two parts was scratched and the dust covers were bent.
I contacted Mainfreight Palmerston North immediately and they said they would look into it .Since then I have been in contact with Michael Tunnicliffe branch manager and nothing has happened???

Its a week later I am still waiting.
On Friday the 11th of September Mr Tunnicliff said that the rep from Auckland Mainfreight would be in contact with me, after receiving an email from Zhen the rep , I responded to the email and it came back with an automated reply that he is on leave.
On Monday the 14th of September I emailed Mr Tunnicliffe again asking if there was feedback , he responded saying that a mechanic should look at the damages of the parts , I responded are asking whether Mainfreight would cover the cost for the mechanic to assess the damage ?

I am still waiting for a reply from Mr Tunnicliff .

On Tuesday the 15th of September I called Palmerston North Mainfreight and ask to speak to Michael tunnicliffe the lady said he was unavailable and I left a message , I have not received a return phone call??

Later on that afternoon on Tuesday the 15th of September the branch manager from Mainfreight Auckland contacted me , Noreen , she came across arrogant and also stating that the goods were not damaged while being transported by Mainfreight.
In my first emails to Mainfreight I attached photos of the goods taken next to the delivery van showing there was no pallet which I was charged for and also showing the damages of the parts.

I find that a company like Mainfreight advertise on their website they take accountability and responsibility and also focus of their customers needs/requirements , yet in my experience , sadly I can say this is not true!

They have agreed to refund the shipping cost , but I now have damaged goods that I am not sure are Safe to use.
