The increasing number of Sonno products, which had already surpassed 100 SKUs, posed a significant challenge as manual management became impractical. Consequently, the decision was made to leverage an application to address this issue. Taking into consideration the partner's preferences for a tool tailored to their needs and seamlessly integrated with their inventory system, we carefully selected an app that not only met all requirements but also seamlessly complemented their theme

The subsequent step involved leveraging data derived from the analysis of customer purchasing patterns. During this phase, we identified which products were frequently bought together. For instance, a mattress often accompanies a set of bed linen or a pillow is commonly paired with a bolster. Armed with this knowledge, we fine-tuned bundle configurations and pricing strategies to optimize the average customer expenditure per transaction. By aligning product offerings with customer preferences, we were able to enhance the shopping experience.

As previously noted, Sonno encountered challenges in managing inventory levels due to its extensive product range. By analyzing which bundled items are popular, Sonno gained valuable insights into product demand. This data informs inventory management decisions. They prioritized stocking popular bundled items and potentially clear out slow-moving inventory by incorporating them into less popular bundles. After carefully assessing McSport's requirements for a tool to create, manage, and analyze bundles, we identified the perfect app for their needs. Now, creating a new bundle takes approximately 30 seconds. They simply envision the package they require and create it within the app – no physical bundles need to be stocked. Looking ahead, we can confidently state that the tool has boosted sales and saved them significant labor costs associated with physical bundle creation in the warehouse.

Strategic bundle development
To develop a bundle sales strategy, we initiated an analysis to identify the most in-demand products. We compiled a list of the top ten best-selling items and then explored which other products were frequently purchased alongside them. Bundles were then curated based on these findings. Additionally, our approach to bundle creation relied on common sense. For instance, customers purchasing barbells would also require plates; hardly anyone buys just barbells. Leveraging our collective business experience, together with McSport, we curated the optimal bundles, drawing upon their inherent knowledge of potential bundle combinations.

Monitoring bundle performance and adapt strategies
After creating bundles, it's crucial to monitor their performance on a weekly basis. Which sets were the top sellers? Which sets failed to sell? By utilizing a weekly report of this nature, it becomes straightforward to assess the success of each package and identify opportunities for improvement. Using this data, new trends were identified and experiments were conducted with less popular products. This approach resulted in a significant increase in the average order value by at least 50%. Depending on seasonality, this increase could be even more pronounced.

Enhancing operations efficiency
As previously mentioned, McSport had physical bundles that occupied considerable space in the warehouse. Creating these bundles required coordination across multiple departments, including purchasing and warehouse management, to ensure availability and assembly. With the new app, physical sets are no longer necessary. This has not only increased sales but also eliminated many of the labor costs associated with creating physical bundles.

We enabled the partner to engage in marketing and product improvement, taking responsibility for conversion rates, AOV, and increasing the number of subscriptions. Our team made significant changes to the sales funnel and product choosing, as well as the selection of additional products to create bundles. Here are some of these experiments

Automatize the amount of refill packs to choose: Depending on the buyer's choice of a subscription or a one-time purchase, a different number of refill packs are offered, pre-installed in the order. This helps motivate customers to choose a subscription, and also increases the average receipt for one-time purchases

Add funnel step “extras”: In the last phase of order creation, we introduced a special product category to complement the products selected by the customer and are likely to be added to the order. Due to this, our partner has an additional tool to increase the number of subscriptions, as well as the AOV. We tested additional products as subscription bonuses, significantly improving subscription conversion rates

Communication and navigation: To improve the overall conversion rate of the entire funnel, we took steps to refine the user experience. Additional communication and navigation elements were introduced to provide customers with clear guidance on their current stage in the process. This enhancement empowers users by offering transparency about what subsequent actions are necessary for them

Collection and use of reviews: We've worked on chains of emails and communication that motivates to leave reviews. Customer focus on product quality and user satisfaction. All this made it possible to significantly increase the conversion of reviews and use them to increase conversion in the sales funnel by demonstrating social proof

At the first stage of our work, we conducted a deep analysis of the website traffic and customer behavior and found out weaknesses in the work of the site. The second stage was the correction of existing errors without major changes in the website design. These actions maвe us double online-store conversions in two weeks. We analyzed sales funnels and long-term traffic channels and determined that one of the reasons of dropping traffic was the changes in the targeting. Then, we identified the blocks that distracted customers from the target action and took them away from the landing pages. We conducted a UX website analytics, redesigned pages, performed A/B testing, and selected hypotheses that yielded successful results.

We had to create a website from scratch using Dawn theme.

This meant we had to create custom home page, collection pages, product pages , misc pages and integrate a number of widgets such as Recharge and others.

From the day we started, the timelines from MBC were always kept in line with our expectations. Even when we had to push the website launch and add additional changes and fix bug on the website, they were supportive and understanding.

We are tremendously happy with the way the website turned out as we are about to launch our paid campaigns. MBC did one hell of a job!

This is the second time I have worked with MBC Agency on a Shopify project, and rightly so!

Working with MBC and their amazing project managers mades our project go very smoothly. We have shared Figma files with MBC, they sent a quote and then we began working!

Along the way we had a few delays from our side and had to push the launch numerous times, which also meant that we had to make changes to the website along the way and MBC team's professionalism was at the top level with quick turn around times and almost instant responses. Communicating with Anton and Alexander has truly made our project much easier to deliver.

Once our custom site has been built, MBC provided us with instructions on how to populate the custom modules with our own unique content, which made it very easy for us to make the site come to life with our unique copy and media.

I highly recommend MBC if you are looking to launch or revamp your Shopify store!

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Communication with project managers and developers was impeccable. Whether it is through email, zoom, in Clickup or telegram. They were always there to respond very quickly and very professionally. Quality of work is also at the highest standard as well, exactly how we wanted the site to look like. P.S. for communication I would put 10 stars!
