A real-life implementation of an ambitious idea to create a comprehensive system for asthma data control, available both for patients and doctors. We built a functional web portal and Android and iOS applications.

The system also includes special peak flow meter connectivity to provide both doctors and patients with the ability to participate in research and get all the perks of effective asthma control through data analysis.

We created a comprehensive IoT-enabled system that includes 2 web portals - one for Sooma managers, the other - for the doctors outside the company, and an innovative mobile application.

The management portal is an easy-to-use admin section for the creation of patient and doctor databases. It collects data about user activity and exports them for detailed analysis. 

Features for doctors:

• Creating, editing and viewing treatment schedules
• Quick automatic bilateral synchronization with a patient app
• Patient progress visualization
• Monitoring of walking activity through Google Fit
• Customization of patient analysis: ask them about physical pain or fatigue levels, etc.
• Doctor’s notes and comments in the treatment history

• Convenient treatment instructions in the form of video, images, text
• Treatment reminders at a customizable time
• Treatment progress monitoring (mood, activity, sleep, appetite) on a visual scale, ability to add text notes
• Easy-to-understand charts
• Program customization both by doctors and patients/
• Patient’s step count. Improved step count indicates alleviated depression symptoms.
• Remote progress monitoring by doctors
• Push-notifications about treatment change
