Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
I am the CEO of Sloboda Studio, a leading company designing customized web and mobile applications and scaling software solutions with dedicated teams. Our team is highly skilled in real estate, marketplaces, fintech, and healthcare industries.

As the CEO, I have a wide range of responsibilities that contribute to the company's success. These include setting the vision and strategy, overseeing finances, building and managing the team, and representing the company externally.
What is the story behind starting this company?
Sloboda Studio was born out of a genuine passion for Ruby and Ruby on Rails and the will to solve complex business tasks.

In 2010, our founder, Pavlo Obod, decided it was time to create a company that would assist businesses with technical skillset.

We have grown ten times since then, successfully handling more than 200 projects over these 13 years.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We offer outsourcing services to our clients. Our engineers work on a contractor’s basis receiving our company’s benefits like paid sick leaves, vacations, internal and external learning, etc.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
We are highly focused on the client’s success, providing the project with our support and expertise. We’ve been on the market for more than 13 years and encountered many challenges along the way. This valuable experience we use to solve our clients' challenges, both technical and business.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
Our company works with various industries, including Real Estate, E-commerce, FinTech, HealthTech, MarTech, and Hospitality.

Many of our clients come back to work with us, some with new projects, some with previous ones. On average, 1-2 clients return every other month to continue working on the product.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Usually, customers approach us with 2 different requests - custom product development and team augmentation. Each request has different people and types of services involved.

For example, product development involves services like UI/UX design, front-end and back-end services, DevOps, and account management.
For team augmentation, depending on the scale, it’s often some narrow technical experts, like in Ruby on Rails, Django, Java, React.js, ChatGPT, and OpenAI, etc.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
We have a high customer satisfaction rate, which we evaluate every 6 months. Also, our customers leave their honest reviews on different rating websites like GoodFirms.

As for the steps, each project has a dedicated account manager who oversees projects and finds out customers’ needs.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Sloboda Studio pairs each client with expert account managers and offers swift technical support, flexible communication, and an extensive resource center for seamless operations.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We have a T&M (Times and Materials) engagement model, which means that the client pays for the hours a team spends on a particular set of tasks. The billing happens monthly.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Each project varies, and so is the budget. The minimum budget for product development starts from $50,000 and for staff augmentation - $25,000.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2022?
The minimum budget was $25,000 and the maximum was $100,000.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We will be a leading global software development and design company in ten years that works with Fortune 500 companies. It participates in volunteering work and sustainability efforts by working with clients who care about our environmental, social and political ecosystem.

Flight Health is an online healthcare platform that connects doctors and patients, allowing them to keep all the information in one place, make appointments, and pay for services. Patients can pick one of the hospitals and doctors that are on the platform and get the consultation or treatment.

It empowers independent doctors with a fully integrated platform to run their practices and provide a truly modern patient experience. Their mission is to give doctors time to do what they do best: care for their patients.

Goals:

Flight Health’s founder wanted to create a platform (both web and mobile apps) where clinics could share their services and patients could select doctors from different hospitals according to their health requests. 

Another goal was to have an easy-to-use admin panel where doctors from different clinics could manage their patients and bookings.

We’ve created web and mobile applications for doctors and patients. Flight Health resembles a marketplace platform where patients can pick a doctor and keep all their data in one place. As well as doctors can store all the patients’ documents where they can access them easily.  

Flight Health is secure and uses both AthenaHealth and Stripe payment platforms to meet the needs of all doctors that use the platform. Not only practitioners like therapists, surgeons, ophthalmologists, etc., have access to Flight Health, but massage specialists and chiro practitioners can use it as well. 

As for now, four clinics that help more than 2000 patients per year in New York, USA, use Flight Health in their practice. They find new patients and keep all their health information in the Flight Health system.

Veeqo is an omnichannel retail platform for various merchants. It allows you to manage your orders from multiple channels and keep track of inventory from multiple warehouses. It is possible to ship up to 100 orders in a single click and gain invaluable insights on the performance of your business.

When we first met Veeqo, they needed to expand their team, which specialized in a very niche area of expertise.

Sloboda Studio’s goal was to develop user profiles in the retailers’ system, to create orders, and to generate invoices (from the beginning stages of a transaction to the moments right before shipping).

Therefore, our main goal was to develop the client-side interface.

We've implemented:

  • Started integration of React (as a front-end solution) and Stripe (as a payment system).
  • Connected AWS Lambda to unload Veeqo’s servers
  • Used Agile Scrum, one-call engineers, and our own expertise and initiative for effective communication

Veeqo is trusted by hundreds of retail brands, including Dove, Harry Potter, Brompton, Joseph, TOG24, Lovisa, Capterra, Trustpilot, etc.

Foody is a US-based recipe marketplace that provides an opportunity for global chefs and popular culinary influencers to sell their recipes and for foodies to buy them. Nowadays, everyone who likes cooking and desires to recreate the dishes of worldwide cooking talent can simply join the platform and get inspired.

The product vision came to the founders during the COVID-19 pandemic when they tried to cook at home. It became clear that there was no ad-free platform that was entirely dedicated to discovering and storing recipes of culinary creatives.

Our client needed to create a custom software platform from scratch that will be a digital helper in the kitchen for home cooks and help influencers and chefs directly monetize their unique content.

Artur Inside is a community manager and a social network sharing tool that launches targeted campaigns (newsletters and personalized content) to your network, tracks and measures engagement, and gives you a precise picture of your marketing efforts.

The MVP included the possibility to create an account, import customers’ contacts into Artur Inside, and link their social accounts, i.e. it had integration with social media. Now, with our Public Beta in place, each customer belongs to a vertical (initially 2 verticals, real estate agents and accountants, then at least 8 verticals are planned by 2017), supplied with personalized content.
