Everyone on our team is a specialist. We leverage their branding, web development and marketing experience – with Fortune 500 Companies and Iconic Brands – to help Small to Midsized Businesses, Nonprofits and Startups stand out, look better and exponentially increase revenue.
---
A little back story. We used to work exclusively with Big Brands and Fortune 500 companies. A few years back, we produced a documentary called “Kindness Is Contagious.” A film all about being nice and the benefits of being nice. While filming, we worked with a lot of startups, health care organizations and nonprofits. People who made money making the world a better place. And we got jealous. We wanted to make money making the world a better place, too. So we decided to take the principles that made those big companies so successful and adapt them to small business, startups and nonprofits.
The challenge was to massively simplify the marketing process, not only because these organizations could not afford the endless revisions, countless studies and infinite strategy sessions, but it also made it better.

With over 40 years of multifaceted retail expertise, Tzumi utilizes the know-how to produce innovative and competitive products while maintaining strong consumer relationships and commitment to value.
Tzumi approached the Bureau of Small Projects to create a web presence that would compete with the giants in the retail electronics field. This required much more than simply building a website. At the Bureau of Small Projects, we see time and time again how important imagery is to the look and impact of a website. So we collaborated with Tzumi to create first in class imagery, using photography and digital rendering to highlight what makes their electronics spectacular.

Currently, the main ways we accomplish this is through our year-long educational program- the Leave It Better Program- and through our seasonal work at the Leave It Better Kids Garden in the Bronx.
The Leave It Better Program is currently in 11 schools throughout New York City. We teach students how to compost with worms and how to garden outdoors through the hands-on process of actually building worm bins, getting dirty, planting seeds, and harvesting food. In addition to these tangible agricultural practices, we provide students with small HD cameras and teach video literacy, so that students are able to communicate what they learn with friends, family, teachers and the extended Leave It Better community.
At the Leave It Better Kids Garden we host weekly garden days at 1970 Grand Avenue in the Bronx. These eventful Saturdays often include activities like picking up trash, weeding, planting seeds, harvesting, composting, building leaf forts, climbing trees and much more.

Astound is the future of enterprise service management: automated answers that reduce the cost of service delivery, reduce downtime for employees, and improve business outcomes.
The Bureau Of Small Projects has developed a niche marketing AI and Machine learning organizations. After one of our clients was purchased by Cisco, Silicon Valley came knocking. Since then we have acquired a modest portfolio of companies on the bleeding edge of technology. What is really interesting about this type of work is that we get a glimpse of what is to come. AI will not be our overlords, they will be our partners.

In our accelerating, desensitized, digitally-driven, winning-is-all world, there’s an epidemic of casual disrespect, bullying, incivility, and rudeness.
We are trying to change that with year-round school programs, community engagements, a global online community – and our annual flagship “Everyone Matters Day” which celebrates EVERYONE’S uniqueness as contributing to what makes their city or community vibrant.

The Dodgers have won six World Series titles and 21 National League pennants. Eight Cy Young Award winners have pitched for the Dodgers, winning a total of twelve Cy Young Awards. The team has also produced 12 Rookie of the Year Award winners, including four consecutive from 1979 to 1982 and five consecutive from 1992 to 1996.
But in 2011 a beating at Dodger Stadium left San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow brain damaged and disabled.
The Bureau Of Small Projects was engaged to bolster the damaged image of the LA Dodgers and show people what the team was all about. Exploring the long standing rivalry between the Giants and the Dodgers, we decided to create a spot all about sportsmanship. Leo Durocher, the irascible former coach for the Dodgers coach coined the phrase “Nice Guys Finish Last” we decided to riff off of that and get to the heart of what it means to be a top competitor, what the Dodgers are really like and why “Nice Guys” actually finish first.
The spot was so well received that we decided to include it in the feature film Kindness Is Contagious. A film all about being nice and the benefits of being nice.
The documentary format, is much more cost effective than the traditional 30-second television spot and defies audiences’ short attention spans with content they’ll keep watching. With competition for consumer attention at an all-time high, story is what makes ads that people feel compelled to share. According to research, 92 per cent of consumers trust “earned” media – such as word-of-mouth messages or recommendations from friends and family – more than all other types of advertising.

U.S. veterans often face challenges as they transition to civilian life, including significant barriers to civilian employment. This contributes to their exceptionally high suicide rate—twice that of the general population, according to a 2015 study by the National Institute of Mental Health. Meanwhile, a 2014 study by Accenture and The Manufacturing Institute showed that half of U.S. manufacturers expect to increase production in the next five years—however, the current shortage of skilled U.S. workers will significantly increase production costs. Workshops for Warriors is directly addressing both of these challenges, providing veterans and wounded warriors with advanced manufacturing training, industry-recognized certification, and job placement for careers in welding, machining, and fabrication at no cost to the veteran.
Workshops for Warriors approached The Bureau Of Small Projects to do a complete redesign of their website, create a world class donation portal and update their platform so that it was responsive, SEO optimized and easy for volunteers to update.
The Bureau Of Small Projects conducted extensive research into the unique culture within Workshops for Warriors and realized that the best way to engage people in their cause was simply to tell their stories. It is such a heartfelt mission that virtually everyone can jump onboard with, that all we really had to do is introduce these people. As such, we commissioned portrait photographer Frank Rogozienski to spend a few days with WFW and get them to open up on camera. As you can see the results were spectacular.

Imagista is a global cultural publication. Each week they publish exclusive and original content. Imagista is committed to discovering, developing, and presenting creatively-driven, and exclusive content across a multitude of genres.
Imagista approached the Bureau Of Small Projects to refresh the look and feel of their website and build a massive database that hosts imagery of the top international photographers, artists and filmmakers featured on the site.
Imagista’s previous website was showing it’s age when we began. Websites can become dated very quickly as technology races ahead at a breathtaking pace. They needed a responsive website that was flexible enough to tackle the cutting edge layouts of their designers yet robust enough to deliver ultra high-res imagery by the most demanding creatives, quickly and efficiently. Upon reviewing many platforms we finally settled on WordPress to meet these criteria. Since Time Magazine, the New Yorker and the New York Times are all powered by WordPress we felt that it was the perfect platform to handle the data requirements this image driven website.
