What is the story behind starting this company?
Taiwan is famous for its tech talents, but when it comes to tech talents, we rarely talk about software engineers. In fact, besides being the hardware and electronics manufacturing hub of the world, Taiwan also offers a talent hub producing high-quality software products, and I always believe the unique Taiwanese work culture and development can compete with the international software key players. This belief motivated me to start the company. TPIsoftware has attracted top software talents with both competent skills and a diligent attitude. Taking these lights-out talents to the global stage is the ambition that my company always anchors to.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We are an in-house company with a broad tech stack and industry know-how to best-fit customers’ needs. Through our comprehensive enterprise product and solutions, our customers won’t have to build a project from scratch, as we can provide customers with all the industry knowledge and expertise they need. Our solutions span FinTech, InsurTech, smart healthcare, AIoT, optimizing business processes, and more, effectively addressing our customers’ all kinds of digital transformation challenges.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We have corporate customers in a variety of sectors such as finance, insurance, telecommunications, technology, transportation, healthcare, government, and more, with 50% of them being repetitive. Regarding overseas customers, our current customers are mostly from the financial sector, and we are ready to serve customers from more industries with our accumulated experiences and industry know-how.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
We have seen high demand in API management and API ecosystem strategy, as businesses are leveraging APIs to innovate services and drive commercial values. Besides, more and more enterprises are looking for an effective one-stop platform to manage their massive log data. What’s more, in response to the digital transformation trends in financial services, we also provide FinTech, open banking, cloud solutions, and more, and differentiated services based on the products and solutions to help our customers succeed in the digital landscape.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
Our customers are quite satisfied with our products and professional services. We are customer-centric, and always put our customers’ needs first to envision what they want to build. We tailor our products to our customers’ specific niche and provide differentiated services, which has helped us increase customer loyalty and satisfaction. We also offer local support to customers in Southeast Asia.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Once the customer starts the project with us, we provide different packages of service support such as standard 5x8 or premium 7x24. There are also several ticket systems and e-portals for the customers to send their inquiries and issues, which serve as a help desk and direct communication channel for our customers.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We base our billing depending on the services; for example, we charge the license for a full set of features for products and annual maintenance and use Pay per Milestone for billing of deliveries.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Considering the cost of resources and complexity of projects, we recommend that customers reach us with a project size exceeding $100,000 USD.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?
Despite the difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic in the past two years, we’ve accomplished many projects and milestones together with our customers, and most of the project sizes ranged between $100,000~ and $4,000,000 USD.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
Our short-term goal is to enhance our products, services, and brand awareness to further optimize the customer experience and attract more talents.
As we are expanding our overseas business, we seek to set up more branch offices in new locations and go global in the long run. We embrace cultural diversity and welcome more international talents to join us.
