Perfect partner for rapid on demand scale up for startups

We worked with Trigent in our previous startup and had good experiences. We engaged again in our seed-stage new startup and had the following key benefits:

1) We were able to skip the 2-3 month notice-period delays in hiring new candidates as Trigent usually had a much shorter 1-2 week lead time for sourcing their candidates. For startups, this kind of "on-demand" hiring is a huge competitive edge.
2) Trigent was able to source vetted professionals who were a pleasure to work with - from project managers to Flutter mobile app developers, to QA.
3) The team was stable and seemed to love their affiliation with Trigent leading to zero churn during our engagement.
Pros :
  • On demand hiring that reduces lead time and moves projects faster
Cons :
  • Part-time roles could be managed better. We felt many times that the candidate was spread too thin. Full-time hires didn't have this issue.

We've had weekly calls and project development for more than two years now. What started out to be an isolated project has grown into a multiyear partnership and expanded into areas previously not part of the original scope of work. The team is comprised of subject matter experts who are great to work with.
Pros :
  • Teams of subject matter experts are always on weekly calls
  • We have the ability to diversity the scope of work
  • Diverse teams allow for coverage even when somebody is out

  • There are honestly no complaints really to speak of here

As the Senior VP - Of marketing & Client Services, I oversee Trigent's client engagements in enterprise software development, cloud services, product development, integration, and testing.  I work closely with our clients in North America to ensure their offshore initiatives, and ODC execution is smooth and efficient.
What is the story behind starting this company?
We started way back in 1995, the vision was to build a global IT services company, that can transform businesses through custom-made digital solutions by improving their operational efficiency, productivity, technology, reducing complexity, and increasing their bottom line. Trigent has developed or contributed to more than 600 software products in the market for small and large clients, and also developed patented products in the semantic internet space.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
In-house team model. Beginning with planning through delivery and support, all stages of project development happen on Trigent's premises. Clients have clear visibility into the project progress and milestone reporting and delivery happen based on the arrangement. We have a team of 500+ members which comprises project managers,  designers, developers, QAs, maintenance, help desk all under one roof.

We offer an onshore model and hybrid engagement model. Depending upon the client's requirements and budget, we come up with the right engagement model.

Next-gen, future-ready applications for the new normal
We developed a first-of-its-kind solution for a global fashion major, that enabled consumers to design the fit of their shoes using images from their mobile cameras. The exciting project involved innovations using AI/ML, cloud-native application, and an Augmented Reality mobile app. This solution became more relevant in the new normal of contactless interactions.
 
State-of-the-art Quality Engineering services.
We developed a school safety system, for an EdTech company, which provided an advanced screening and alert notification system that keeps offenders at bay and alerts school staff in case of violations. We put Agile principles into practice in combination with our Responsible Testing framework. We facilitated a singular customer-first focus that led to product success and client delight by synchronizing these approaches. This enabled the company to scale its business at an unprecedented pace. The solution ensures the safety of over 12M students in 32,000 schools across all 50 states. The quality processes we put in place enabled the EdTech company to be the gold standard of school safety.

Our patented “Fast Rules Selection Engine” (FRSE), the world’s fastest and most scalable rules engine, is currently deployed for Navistar International Corporation. What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
In 2021, we got an NPS score of 100%, which tells us that we deliver excellent service and value to our customers.

Every customer is important and has the same visibility and access to management.  Program Managers with 20+ years of experience are allocated to projects, enabling faster planning, stakeholder alignment, and execution.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Our prospects can get in touch through our toll-free sales line or Chat services on our website. Most of our clients have dedicated teams have direct access to their team through phone, email, or Slack channels.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We have a number of different pricing model that suits our clients. Most of the engagements are run under time and material fees. We also offer managed services model at a fixed annual contract fee. When we engage with clients for specific projects only, we use budgeted time and material fees.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We are flexible in terms of minimum budget, but from our experience, $25000 would be our bottom line.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?
Our projects ranged from $25k. However, we have done projects worth millions. Most of our revenue comes from repeat business, and few of our new clients are referrals by existing ones.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We continue to invest in our people and technology to stay in tune with the pace of technology innovation and the resulting disruptions in the ecosystem.  Trigent will partner with companies as they look to navigate the uncertainty and strike a balance between investing successfully in new tech and maximizing value from current infrastructures.
