As the Senior VP - Of marketing & Client Services, I oversee Trigent's client engagements in enterprise software development, cloud services, product development, integration, and testing.  I work closely with our clients in North America to ensure their offshore initiatives, and ODC execution is smooth and efficient.
What is the story behind starting this company?
We started way back in 1995, the vision was to build a global IT services company, that can transform businesses through custom-made digital solutions by improving their operational efficiency, productivity, technology, reducing complexity, and increasing their bottom line. Trigent has developed or contributed to more than 600 software products in the market for small and large clients, and also developed patented products in the semantic internet space.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
In-house team model. Beginning with planning through delivery and support, all stages of project development happen on Trigent's premises. Clients have clear visibility into the project progress and milestone reporting and delivery happen based on the arrangement. We have a team of 500+ members which comprises project managers,  designers, developers, QAs, maintenance, help desk all under one roof.

We offer an onshore model and hybrid engagement model. Depending upon the client's requirements and budget, we come up with the right engagement model.

Next-gen, future-ready applications for the new normal
We developed a first-of-its-kind solution for a global fashion major, that enabled consumers to design the fit of their shoes using images from their mobile cameras. The exciting project involved innovations using AI/ML, cloud-native application, and an Augmented Reality mobile app. This solution became more relevant in the new normal of contactless interactions.
 
State-of-the-art Quality Engineering services.
We developed a school safety system, for an EdTech company, which provided an advanced screening and alert notification system that keeps offenders at bay and alerts school staff in case of violations. We put Agile principles into practice in combination with our Responsible Testing framework. We facilitated a singular customer-first focus that led to product success and client delight by synchronizing these approaches. This enabled the company to scale its business at an unprecedented pace. The solution ensures the safety of over 12M students in 32,000 schools across all 50 states. The quality processes we put in place enabled the EdTech company to be the gold standard of school safety.

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
In 2021, we got an NPS score of 100%, which tells us that we deliver excellent service and value to our customers.

Every customer is important and has the same visibility and access to management.  Program Managers with 20+ years of experience are allocated to projects, enabling faster planning, stakeholder alignment, and execution.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Our prospects can get in touch through our toll-free sales line or Chat services on our website. Most of our clients have dedicated teams have direct access to their team through phone, email, or Slack channels.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We have a number of different pricing model that suits our clients. Most of the engagements are run under time and material fees. We also offer managed services model at a fixed annual contract fee. When we engage with clients for specific projects only, we use budgeted time and material fees.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We are flexible in terms of minimum budget, but from our experience, $25000 would be our bottom line.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?
Our projects ranged from $25k. However, we have done projects worth millions. Most of our revenue comes from repeat business, and few of our new clients are referrals by existing ones.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We continue to invest in our people and technology to stay in tune with the pace of technology innovation and the resulting disruptions in the ecosystem.  Trigent will partner with companies as they look to navigate the uncertainty and strike a balance between investing successfully in new tech and maximizing value from current infrastructures.

The client is a leading medical genetics information company, with revenues of over $200m, with a mission to bring genetic information into routine medical practice to improve the quality of healthcare. They specialize in genetic diagnostics for hereditary disorders and provide affordable & accessible genetic testing to both patients & providers. 

As the business grew, they put added emphasis on customer experience, and this required the applications to work at optimum levels without interruptions during business hours. The individual applications underwent continuous improvements at a fast pace. As the volume of patients & data increased, customer experience could not be compromised, and the entire service had to be comprehensively tested for every change. To meet this goal, the client needed agile processes, improved test execution velocity, and high-quality releases.

Trigent identified the workflow of all the applications - covering the vital business process flows, user experience, technology integrations, and performance.  To support the geographically distributed development teams, Trigent QA operated in multiple shifts covering about 18 hours a day, resulting in reduced feedback cycles and increased sprint velocity. The testing covered complex rules and data validation across applications, also ensured that the applications supported multiple versions of operating systems and browsers. Test automation became synonymous with exploratory testing complementing the increasing levels of automation to achieve high functional coverage within a short time. In a minimal time of around 2 hours, 600+ automated test scripts were executed.

The client is a leading provider of a SaaS platform for insurance procurement and management. Their platform supports sales, quoting & enrollment, plan administration, billing & collection, and advanced analytics. 

The client serves several of the nation's top insurance providers and adds new carriers every quarter to their platform. Supporting multiple group and voluntary benefits programs from these carriers increased the complexity manifold. The client had an aggressive timeline to release new functionalities and support new carriers. The testing had to cover complex rules and data validation across multiple carriers and insurance programs. Due to aggressive release schedules and sprint timelines, testing was compromised, which led to incomplete testing and cost overruns.

Trigent built a test automation strategy covering the key business process flows, user experience, technology integrations, and performance. As part of the strategy, the team focused on improving the test coverage through effective data selection mechanisms and combinatorial optimization. Trigent set up a CI/CD pipeline that allowed test suites to run quickly, and parallelly across multiple environments. The team adopted continuous, left-shifted testing, for both functional & non-functional needs. More than 300 business flows were validated through automated scripts and reduced the release testing schedule from 2 days to 1 hour.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Strong tenure of talent ensures solid experience of project team. Good communication.

Relationship was important to them from the Sales and Account management team as well as Executives.

While some of the team members were flexible to adjust to working hours of the US, not all were, but we were able to work around this.

You get out of a vendor relationship what you put into it. If you invest the time into clearly setting expectations and requirements, they deliver.

We worked with Trigent in our previous startup and had good experiences. We engaged again in our seed-stage new startup and had the following key benefits:

1) We were able to skip the 2-3 month notice-period delays in hiring new candidates as Trigent usually had a much shorter 1-2 week lead time for sourcing their candidates. For startups, this kind of "on-demand" hiring is a huge competitive edge.
2) Trigent was able to source vetted professionals who were a pleasure to work with - from project managers to Flutter mobile app developers, to QA.
3) The team was stable and seemed to love their affiliation with Trigent leading to zero churn during our engagement.
