Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
TurtleSoft Solution is an Indian IT company that focuses on Web/App Development and Graphics Designing. We are the fastest-growing company in terms of Web/App Development, Digital Marketing, Graphics Design, and Search Engine Optimisation.
My name is Shailandra Rajput, and I am the Founder of TurtleSoft Solution, currently working as CEO of the company. My key responsibilities are to make major corporate decisions and build the company’s short and long-term strategies.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
From the day I understood that we need to earn either via job or business, I choose to do business.
I was interested in the IT field. So, I thought, even if I have to face issues and struggle, I will go for my own company. So, I met several people from our field and decided to do my own work rather than working for others. So, the idea was simple. Work for your own, not for the unknown.
What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have an experienced in-house team of skilled Android/IOS Developers, UI/UX Designers, Web Developers, CMS Developers like WordPress Experts, Woocommerce Experts, Graphics Designers, and dedicated Customer Support Team. In the rare case, we outsource our project to our partner's company.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
We have not spent too much money on advertising, and we try to reduce costs. So, the overall cost will always be less compared to other companies. As a new company, we mainly focus on building relations and not on earning quick money.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive?
We cater to all industries, but there are some industries we have most of our clients from. These include Financial Services, Healthcare & Medical, Travel & Hospitality, Ecommerce, Government, Transportation & Logistics, Entertainment & Media, Shipping, Retail & Consumer Products, Education, Advertising & Marketing, Real Estate, Sports, etc.
Yes, we receive repetitive customers, and some customers refer us to their friends and relatives also.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a web app.
Resources are the main parameter for determining the time frame. Sometimes, the resources are provided by the client. But sometimes they are busy, and we have to wait until they provide us resources. Some important factors are as below.
- Requirements of clients
- Technologies to be used
- Client-side involvement
- Communication with clients.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a web app?
This is based on the clients’ requirements. If we have big and medium-range projects, around 20-25% of the time goes into project planning. The remaining time goes to the backend and frontend. Basically, the frontend required less time than the backend.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a web application?
This is based on the client's requirements and budget. But we mainly adopt the latest trends from the market. The key parameters are speed and scalability. It's also about deciding the priority of the project and clients.
Which platform and technologies do you prefer to use in development of your web apps?
There is no particular preference from our side. We choose technologies from client requirements. Some clients say that they need a website in PHP then we have a wide range of frameworks like Laravel, CakePHP, and CorePHP. Then we choose the framework depending upon the project requirements and scalability. But if the technology is not specified by the client, we adopt the latest technology from the market suitable for the client’s project.
Do you offer website design templates or customised website design, and do you have a responsive website design?
Yes, we provide design templates and customized design. We have a team of Graphics Designers who understand the client’s requirements and design the layout in Photoshop. Once it is done, we show it to the client. If he is satisfied with the design, we proceed to the next step where our expert frontend developers develop the website. The first impression is the last, and if a visitor visits the client's website, he interacts with its design. So we take much care to design the website layout. Sometimes clients have a low budget. In this case, we choose a readymade design and customize it according to the client’s requirement. We are focusing on Responsive Design. All our websites are responsive, and even if customers have low budgets, we provide them responsive web design.
Which Content Management System do you prefer to use (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal etc)?
We prefer WordPress because of the availability of lots of plugins and website templates. WordPress provides us the ability to design and develop difficult websites in an easy manner. And it’s also easy for the client to manage. So clients also tell us that they need a WordPress website. But if any client needs a website in a different CMS, then we also develop on another CMS.
Do you provide website maintenance services?
Yes, we provide maintenance services. Even if a website is not developed by us, we provide them maintenance. Basically, we have an annual maintenance plan which is suitable for all kinds of projects. We also provide semi-annual maintenance. We have a dedicated customer and maintenance support team for our clients.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a web application?
The cost of the web application completely depends on the level of customization, and the project's requirements regarding the type of features needed by the clients. If the client needs some complex features, the price goes up. But without knowing all the features, it’s difficult to provide the cost estimates of a web application. We provide a 24-hour free estimate service where we gather the requirements of our client and then provide them an estimate.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
Mainly, we follow the Pay Per Milestone payment structure. We are open to all types of online payment methods, and if clients want to pay us in different ways, we are also ready for that.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We don’t have a particular basic budget requirement, but even the simplest projects we worked for had been over $500.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2019?
As we are a new start-up company, the minimum price range was $499 for a simple website, and the maximum project was $10000 for a complex web application.
