Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Our digital agency specializes in brandformance marketing: we combine the approaches and tools of performance and branding campaigns. Now we have 5 business units: digital marketing (core unit), web development, a creative agency, a school of digital advertising, a recruiting agency for marketing, and digital stuff.

I founded UAMASTER in 2004 when companies used offline communications mostly.
What is the story behind starting this company?
I have a master's degree in marketing. As an employee, I worked in various industries, first as a marketer, then as a CMO. Digital marketing has always been interesting to me. Since 1999, I have been using Internet advertising to promote goods and services. It was a time when Facebook, YouTube, and Google Ads did not exist yet. But there was already display advertising, PR, and SEO.

I was the CMO of a software company that sold its products in over 40 countries. There, I devoted more than 50% of my working time to digital communications, and I finally decided that I wanted to do digital marketing.

The UAMASTER agency was founded in August 2004. In 2005, we started working with advertisers from the USA. In the following years, we had clients from the European Union, Canada, Australia, the UAE, and South Korea. We have experience in conducting advertising campaigns in 65 countries.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
All key tasks are performed by our in-house specialists: digital strategy, PPS management, creative development, web analytics, SEO, email marketing, and web development.

For some secondary tasks, we involve subcontractors with the consent of the customer. We are talking about writing texts and translation, working with bloggers, 3D modeling, and shooting advertising videos.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
3 points of differentiation:
  1. We are brandformance marketing experts. The combination of performance and branding allows us to solve the most difficult tasks of clients. We have a strong background in classical marketing and use mathematical models to plan and analyze campaigns. It's always giving good results for advertisers.
  2. We implemented projects in 65 countries of the world. This is a unique experience that is valued by customers who want to enter new markets or plan global expansion.
  3. Excellent ratio of digital expertise and price. We provide world-class services at Ukrainian prices. Clients from the USA, Canada, and Europe like it very much.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
For 18 years, we managed to work with all legal industries. We have the most experience in advertising for e-commerce, FMСG, the financial sector (banks, insurance companies, crypto market), the pharmaceutical market, medical services, IT and electronics, B2B goods and services, real estate, automotive, and NGOs.

Our portfolio includes projects for Abbott, Berlin Chemie, BitFury, Challenge Aero, Cisco, Coca-Cola, Dell, DryNites, Epson, Gedeon Richter, Hipp, Huggies, International Ukrainian Airlines, Microsoft, Moulinex, Pandora, Pfizer, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Royal Canin, Samsung, Tefal, Ukrsibbank (BNP Paribas Group), Yves Rocher and other well-known brands.

We are focused on long-term strategic partnerships with our clients. The average time of cooperation with the client is more than 3 years. Now we have clients with whom we have been working for 5-7 years and even more than 10 years.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
If we talk about one service, PPC management is most in demand: advertising in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc. UAMASTER agency has the status of Google Premier Partner and Meta Badged Business Partner (ex-Facebook Preferred Partner). This is an advantage for our customers: we provide access to beta versions of new Google Ads advertising tools, and we also have extended support in Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

Web analytics services are also in high demand. These are setting up Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and dashboards in Looker Studio. And more complex - the development of end-to-end analytics.
Also, the number of requests for ASO and advertising of mobile applications has increased recently.

But to be honest, most requests have tasks that need to be solved comprehensively. For example, if an e-commerce project wants to increase sales, PPC management, web analytics, SEO, and email marketing are needed here, and in some cases, we conduct a UX audit and improve the site's usability.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
We regularly conduct surveys of our customers. 12 out of 13 companies we work with are ready to recommend us as a reliable digital marketing contractor. And these are not just words. A large percentage of our new clients come from referrals from employees of companies we currently work with or have previously worked with.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
The main thing is that we are always in touch. The client chooses a convenient communication channel. Someone like daily communication via messenger - WhatsApp, etc., but other customers prefer emails. We also make sure to make a video call every month to discuss the results of the previous campaign and plan the next one.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We work at an hourly rate. This is the largest transparent and honest model for both sides.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We work with clients with advertising budgets ranging from $10,000 to $2 million per month. And we want to work with bigger budgets :)

It is important to distinguish between the advertising budget and the agency fee. The advertising budget (media budget) is the money that Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or other advertising services will receive. The agency fee is very small relative to the advertising budget because we work hourly. If we are talking about PPC management, the agency fee starts at $1000.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?
The smallest payment we received this year was $150. We have fixed an error in the Google Analytics settings of cosmetics eCommerce from California.
The largest advertising budget: 2 million dollars per month.
Biggest agency fee: over $100,000 per year for some clients.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
I believe that Ukraine will win the war.
I know that our agency provides a world-class service at an attractive price, and I want as many advertisers from around the world to take advantage of this.
The work of our agency is our contribution to the victory of Ukraine, and then the restoration of the country, through attracting funds and creating new jobs.
