Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.

Founded in 2016, webdew is a Digital Agency that helps businesses grow with our websites, videos, and marketing services. And in such a short period, we have carved a niche for ourselves in the industry for our top-notch services.

Being a CEO of the Company, I've spent the last decade building and growing my business and helping businesses around the world grow.

What is the story behind starting this company?

I always wanted to do something of my own, what and how that I figured out only when I was doing my graduation. I used to spend my nights browsing different business ideas while also working as a freelancer.

I then started my own web hosting company and then sold it after 3 years, to finally start Webdew in 2016, providing Website, Video, HubSpot, and Marketing services. And we have been growing ever since.

From a team of 2, we are now a family of 65+.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We are a fully in-house company.

I strongly believe that Talent acquisition is the heart of any organization. Besides, your team is the driving force behind your company’s success, so finding the right people becomes all the more crucial.

So, our highly enthusiastic Talent Acquisition team works really hard to find the best talent possible! Although, we do give weightage to attitude over skills. Because skills can be gained or improved with time, attitude is inherent.

So, we look for people with a positive attitude, those with a similar vision, and those who happily become part of the company culture.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

We at webdew follow the motto of "Learning every day." And the dynamic team of enthusiasts and forever learners in webdew keep improving their skills and keep learning whatever new tool or technology is introduced in their niche.

And this gives us an edge over our competitors since our team is keeping up with the latest technology.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

We serve multiple industries, including SaaS, eLearning, Computer Software, Tourism, Financial Services, IT, and AI-based industries.

Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?

Well, over the last 2 years, we have gained a very strong foothold in the video production field. So, most of our clients approach us for video services, including explainer videos, 2D animation, 3D animation, Screencast videos, Live-action videos, Kinetic typography, and even onboarding videos.

Besides videos, since we are HubSpot Diamond partners, a lot of our clients are the ones who need HubSpot consulting, onboarding, integration, migration, and even development services.

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?

The customer satisfaction rate, in my opinion, is over 95%. I did not say 100% because you can not really please everyone, and there are times that a project doesn't go as expected. The reason can be either of the two parties, and there can be some hiccups down the road.

Nonetheless, we at webdew aim to provide the best experience to our customers, right from the first interaction till we successfully deliver the project.
And to make sure we actually achieve that, we follow a strict process that begins with spending a good time with them in the initial conversations to understand their needs clearly. Based on those initial conversations, we don't oversell ourselves but set realistic expectations.

We keep in constant contact with our clients to take regular feedback and keep them updated with the progress. One thing I believe that helps us the most is transparency. We are pretty honest about what we can or can not do, and we're open to the same kind of honest opinion from our clients. So, this helps in maintaining a healthy and long-term relationship with them.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?

The kind of support we offer to our clients is mostly client-centric and customized, which varies from client to client. After all, no two clients are the same, nor are their requirements.

Besides, we ensure that they have a single point of contact when it comes to any queries or issues, avoiding any chaos or confusion. We walk the clients through the entire process, right from the information gathering to the delivery.

Although, if there is an issue on our end, we do take ownership of that and resolve it accordingly. And once the issue has been resolved, we do a follow-up to make sure everything is on track.

We understand that one of the most important factors affecting the client-business relationship is trust. So, we do our best to uphold our values and stay true to our promises.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

We follow a flexible payment structure that varies from client to client and the demographic region.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

We don't focus on taking projects with a specified budget. Our goal is to provide value to our customers and help them do the same. webdew is open to all clients.
The smallest ticket size we have is that of our video services, which is also one of our most sought-after services, and it usually starts from around 2000 USD. When it comes to our website services, the basic price range lies somewhere between 12K-15K USD.

Somewhere between 2K to 15K USD.

Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?

When I founded webdew, I wanted to become the top marketing agency in India and then one of the most recognized in the world. And then, as we started growing and expanding our vertical of services, the vision was to be the best name in the services we offer and the ones yet to come.

However, now, I'm more focused on providing quality services that solve an industry problem, be it directly or through the clients, we are providing services to.

I don't wish to generate "X" revenue or be at the top; I wish to contribute to providing a solution to the biggest problem. We are not competing with anyone. We simply want to be the best versions of ourselves.

Project overview

The company chose webdew to rebuild their website. They wanted a pixel perfect website with drag and drop functionality. The development had to be done using the new boilerplate feature in HubSpot, and all the sections had to be editable.

Challenge

The client website needed a revamp. They wanted drag and drop feature on their website and it was a must for the client to have a pixel-perfect development. The main challenge of the project was the customized header that they needed. It had to be done using HubSpots new CMS boilerplate.

Solution

It was our first project on boilerplate however, we managed to ace the project and create the custom header which was particularly challenging. We also created a custom announcement bar that could be turned on and off as per requirement.

Exceed Speech

Purpose of Web Design and Development

Exceed Speech needed a website to create their online presence and reach out to people who required their services. Since our clients were not very tech-savvy, they required drag and drop modules that could be managed by non-technical people. They also needed various video and quiz elements and external integrations for their website.

Goals

To design the Exceedspeech website using boilerplate

In this process, we had to create themes with various drag and drop modules for the website that the client could execute easily and comfortably. Since they were non-technical people, we had to endure user-friendliness.

To design a creative and fun website that resonates with the target audience of our client

Since Exceed Speech's target audiences were parents and their service for kids, we had to make sure it had an added essence of familiarity and a friendly presence. Our client did not want the website to look very professional.

To conduct HubSpot integrations

We had to integrate:

Coreplus: Core plus is an Australian digital health management platform that connects healthcare providers with their clients.
Kajabi: Kajabi is an online course platform

We had to include online quizzes

The client wanted us to create modules in the theme where they could put quizzes for their visitors.

Process and Problem solving

The process of creating a website starts with designing. We created the themes and sent them over to the clients, which met with some minor revisions. In the second draft, we covered all the bases and delivered the desired results with all the specifications maintained.

We then sent it over to our development team, who took care of the entire execution to provide the client with a picture-perfect website. We also carried out the integrations seamlessly.

Challenges and Difficulties

The client website's design was quite complicated, considering we had to use a boilerplate to create it.
It had several video modules that had to be integrated.
From a design point of view, we had to be innovative and conduct substantial R&D.

Haptik

Project overview

Haptik.ai was originally using WordPress CMS. However, once they explored HubSpot CRM and marketing tools, they were intrigued and wanted to move their website to HubSpot CMS. Our target was to execute the migration without any fallouts or loopholes.

Thus, our goals were:

To conduct a pixel-perfect migration
To enhance the flexibility of the web design
To include additional modules
To clone the master templates
To increase the scope for customizations

Challenges

Haptik was built on WordPress. As we all know, WordPress uses plugins and templates for basic functionalities. These plugins or modules are open source and can not be changed seamlessly. When we try to move to a new content management system, we come across some predominant challenges. The following were the most prominent ones for our team:

Limited use of pages
Dependencies on plugins
Restricted to using a pre-built theme
Difficulty in carrying out modifications
Lack of elements for drag and drop functionality

Solutions

Ensured a pixel-perfect migration

Since WordPress offers open-source plugins, it becomes challenging to clone a site's pages for the mockup UX. Despite the challenges, we were able to conduct the migration with utmost perfection.

Enabled Haptik to clone the master templates for internal pages

The master template is the starting point for all the other pages of a website. In order to conduct the desired customizations, it is essential that the master template, it's UI and UX is high quality. Since Haptik already has a pre-built design, we had to take care of the cloning. Our team assisted the client in doing the same without any disruptions.

Kept the quality intact

Migrating from one CMS solution to another, while maintaining the same web design is indeed a significant task. With collective effort and focus, we made sure the quality was intact.

Created custom header and modules

The client had many products and services that they wanted to display to their clients. To serve this purpose we created a custom header in each page with all the products and services listed. We also made sure the header was responsive and worked just as fine on the mobile.

Many of the client teams were working on the website and they also needed custom modules so the Haptik teams could create web pages and landing pages on their own. We made sure of this by creating a custom, multipurpose module.

Consolidated the website to remove limitations

Having multiple stand-alone modules can restrict the streamlined mode of operations that the users desire. Haptik has the same existing problem which our web designers and developers solved by integrating the modules and removing limitations on the back-end.

Enabled Haptik to create Templates

We enabled Haptik to create tailor-made templates which were not originally offered by WordPress. Our team provided them with the access they needed to carry out the changes or develop something from scratch.

Enabled customizations

WordPress limits the freedom of customization for the website owners. While migrating to HubSpot CMS, we had to make sure we made way for our client to add customizations if required.

Making the site interactive and attractive

There were many parts of the website that needed to be interactive in order to grab the attention of the visitors and encourage them to respond to CTAs.

This included three pages of webinar listing, details, and registration page. The listing page displayed all the webinars, the second page had the webinar video and content and finally the registration page had the forms.

They also wanted a separate module for the career page, where the candidates can come and apply for the job openings. For this we developed a tabbing based module as per the job vacancies.

To keep the website interactive, we used animation.

Velo Residential

Project Overview

Velo Residential wanted to revamp their website to get rid of the outdated and stagnant elements to replace them with editable sections and drag and drop features. They also wanted to optimize their site for fast loading speed which leads to a promising UX.

Challenge

When team Velo came to webdew, they were using a worn-out website with redundant features. Their features were neither optimized, nor could they edit the website on their own. The client precisely needed a new framework and a new CMS.

The client had the following requirements:-

Easy to use and optimized website
Editable sections and images
Custom sliders for service display
A great blogging platform

Solution

As the client previously used an outdated website, the primary task was to redesign their website from scratch. We developed the custom theme according to the needs of the client. To ensure better performance, we chose the HubSpot boilerplate.

Building a brand new theme for the website

The theme we created had the same features as the boilerplate. It has easy drag and drop feature, and changes could be done from a single panel. We developed the following:

Custom slider for services display
Custom blog template as per requirement

Filtering posts

The client wanted the posts to be filtered through a tag click, so we created a custom JavaScript for the tag. The users can now filter the posts on the same page using tags.

Blog Listing

As the client's requirement, we developed the Spatial module for blog listing. Using this module, they can display the blog listing anywhere on the website.

Showcasing their webinar

We developed three separate pages to showcase their webinars. The first template can be used to display the older webinar listings or cards. The second template is for the pages that have detailed listings of the posts. This particular page has a video module that helps to showcase the webinar videos. It also has a section for the forms and upcoming events.

The last template was for email registration. We created this template using HubSpot forms without the usage of any third-party integration.

Site Optimization

After the website development, our next challenge for site optimization. For this, we have used the lazy load feature for images, used the original fonts, minified the CSS and js files, and reduced the extra size of images.

Result

The client can now edit their site using functionalities like drag and drop
Their visitors can now filter the blog posts by tag on the same page
They can display the blog listings anywhere on the website
They can showcase their webinars more vividly with three new pages but 0 third-party integrations.
The website is optimized for loading speed and UX.

In January, we decided we wanted to create a whiteboard explainer video. We were having some issues communicating our product and business to customers and figured a video would be a great help. We found Webdew and started working with them to create this video. Webdew helped us put together a script and visual deck to see what fit for us.

They use a collaborative product to communicate with ease, which improved our experience. While creating the video, we utilized the same product to make comments in real-time with Webdew, which worked great because we were able to share thoughts at any hour, and they could respond just as fast. Their voiceover and audio services were great as well.

After the project was complete, we shared the video with customers and colleagues, and they love it! They were able to understand thanks to the illustrations and animations Webdew provided us in the video. With their help, we can now market our product in a more efficient manner.

I revamped a website for a client, but Hubspot is also tricky. I needed a new blog template and chose the Clear template by Webdew. They happily updated it and made the changes I needed. Would recommend!

Webflow did a great job of recreating the original designs in code, provided timely check-ins and updates, quickly responded to feedback, and provided videos to help our non-design team members understand how to edit and update the website content once it was launched.
