As a Co-Founder at Webinfomart (MCSAM), I am responsible for making corporate decisions, heading marketing & sales team, managing business processes, managing financial processes and making sure that every team member working with us is  empowered with right resources, rewards, motivation & encouragement so that it can eventually help them to build world class products as per our client’s requirement.

What was the idea behind starting this organization?

The idea was to harness extraordinary technical talent in India to build better problem-solving software products with reduced costs on development & project management.

What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We have a small yet highly productive in-house team of 52 professionals in the fastest growing cyber city of India (Gurugram).

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive?

  5. Cloud Telephony
Yes, we have more than 85% repetitive customers.

Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a web app.

  • Project requirements and complexities mentioned in the Business Requirement Document (BRD) needs to be considered first.
  • After that we check the technical recommendation for the project (if any).
  • Once these two things are clear, we make rough wireframes or flow diagrams (whichever is required) and show it to the client.
  • After the client’s approval on the wireframes, we calculate the time frame for the development & final delivery.

How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a web app?

It depends on the complexity & design requirements of the project. Sometimes frontend needs to be super awesome in terms of UI/UX that it takes a lot of time rather than coding the backend logic. It may require a lot of animation & graphic kind of work rather than implementing complex calculations or algos. Hence, these efforts are totally dependent on the project/client’s requirements, and deliverables client is expecting from it.

What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a web application?

There are a lot of things that need to be considered before deciding the right platform or tech stack. Our tech team which is headed by our CTO cum Co-Founder Mr. Debal Chakraborty takes care of it. We closely analyze and review every aspect of the project before deciding on the tech platform. Few of the things that we regularly consider are:
  • Domain/Industry it is going to serve
  • Complexity of project’s business logic
  • No. of users
  • Scalability
  • Security & Vulnerabilities involved
  • Any recommendation from the client

Which platform and technologies do you prefer to use in development of your web apps?

  • Angular (All versions)
  • React JS
  • PHP & its Frameworks
  • Python
  • Java
  • HTML/CSS - Bootstrap
  • AWS, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud
  • Docker, Jenekins
  • GIT, BitBucket

Do you offer website design templates or customised website design, and do you have a responsive website design?

We offer both of them. Yes, we do provide responsive web designs too, that’s the need of the market right now.

Which Content Management System do you prefer to use (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal etc)?

Wordpress & our custom made inhouse CMS.

Do you provide website maintenance services?

Yes, we do provide website AMCs. Prices start from as low as $100/month.

What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a web application?

Once we get approval from the client on the wireframes or flow diagrams, we estimate the number of hours required to complete it by dividing the project into various sprints using Agile Methodology.

Once we have the number of hours with us, we calculate the man-days required and the resource required. A project could require multiple team members, which include Developers, UI Specialists, Frontend Developers, Program/Project Manager, Business Analyst, QA, Dev-Ops, etc.

Each resource would have a different hourly or man-day rate. We figure out a perfect team required and then calculate the cost based on man-days or hours required necessary for the project.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

Our payment features are very very flexible. We are open to all the possible payment plans which are win-win for both parties. We believe in total transparency and quality deliveries.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

Yes, we do have some minimum budget requirements i.e., $800. We avoid projects which are less than $800 or have shorter than five working days.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2019?

$900 to $60K.
