XcelTec, Incorporated in 2016 and headquartered in India, and global presence and offices in the USA, UAE, Australia, Iran, and Nigeria. We have 80+ employees at our India development center. XcelTec is an industry-leading software and mobile app and web development company known for delivering Excellence in Technology and Web, Mobile, IoT, and game development solutions and engaging mobile apps. What was the idea behind starting this organization?
Initially, I was working as a delivery head and then I commenced my journey as a business entrepreneur leading various business operations. Since I belong to an IT background, the technology transformation pushes me to keep my vision into accuracy. The journey started with 10 individuals and now we have currently 80+ experts on the board with this successful journey we make our unique identity in the IT world.

We have an 80+ in-house team with a brilliant mind, who is taking care of the project development on a timely basis & our delivery head makes sure that each of our clients satisfied with the delivered work. We believe in maintaining transparency regarding our business approach with sheer customer satisfaction in mind.

For us, client satisfaction is always on the top. Our ultimate aim is "Delivering Excellence in Technology". We committed to our client with all-round support & in-depth solution instead of just helping to full fill their essential requirement.

Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
During the pre-sales part, a complete team, Sales team, Pre-sales Manager, Business Analyst will work together to take the requirements from the client and document the same, Prepare the Scope document, and take confirmation from the client. Once the client confirms the scope, the technical team along with pre-sales manager and business analyst will prepare the efforts and timeline of the project. With the cost, the sales team will engage the client and complete the agreement formalities. Upon agreement, Project Manager and Tech Lead will prepare Sprint 0 that includes a complete sprint plan of the project and share and confirm with the client. This way, the XcelTec team ensures the complete execution of the project.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
For any project, efforts and costs are already defined in the document and agreed by all the stakeholders. Based on the same sprint plan document is generated and share with all the stakeholders. Now Project Manager along with the team needs to plan the resources and their allocations and take care of a project. Efforts always vary based on the requirements, technology, complexity, integrations of the project but all these are already calculated in sprint 0 so we can take care of the accurate execution.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
During the requirement analysis phase of the project, the pre-sales team along with business analyst and tech lead define the technology for the mobile application and share the preferences with the client. Efforts only finalize when the technology is finalized. Based on the complexity of the project, require mobile hardware support, and the number of users to use the application and future upgrades require the team will define the platform for the mobile applications. Since we build the project for the client to make it a success and in the future, we have to manage and maintain the same.
Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
When the client shares the requirements then based on the complexity of the project, require mobile hardware support, and a number of users to use the application and future upgrades require the team will define the platform for the mobile applications. There are native and hybrid both the approach evaluates, discusses with the client, and then takes the decision with confirmation with the client.

Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
iOS or Android & Native or Hybrid is dependent on the many pointers that need to consider like the geographic location like the US has more iOS Users while India and Africa's region has more Android Users. It also depends on the budget from the client as well as the complexity of the project, requires mobile hardware support, and No of users to use the application and future upgrades require in the system. Apart from the above parameter, the client’s budget for the project is also playing a very significant role to define the platform of the project.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
We provide two types of services to the client, fixed price project, and dedicated employee (Virtual employee).
In the Fixed-price project, we define the efforts of the project by the technical team during the initial phase and then multiply with the hourly rate and give a final cost to the client. That cost remains the fixed for the project. That includes the design, development, testing, and final deployment of the project.
In the Dedicated Employee Model, we provide dedicated employees for mobile app development (native or hybrid) along with QA and UI/UX team to make sure of the quality delivery to the client.

We provide a very flexible payment structure to the client, which works with the client very well.
In case of a fixed price project, the client has to pay 20% in advance, and the rest payment client has to pay once the sprint is completed and reviewed the demo. Therefore, this way, the client can see the progress and clear the payment of the project.
In the case of dedicated employee mode, the client has to pay monthly fees, which is 50% at the beginning of the month and 50% in the middle of the month this way ensure that client can pay in two parts and can manage the funds easily.
In case of a client, require any specific payment terms, we discuss the case to case and plan accordingly.

Yes, we take the project that meets the basis budget requirements and we give justice and quality delivery to the client. In case if the client has any issues with the budget then, we open to provide some flexi payment mode to the client but we never compromise with quality because of the budget.

Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
Once we developed and live for the end client to use the same, we provide 45 days of free bug support, that ensures the UAT successfully, and then the application will be live for all the users. This way client can start marketing and adding more and more users to use the application. Even we offer SEO, SMO, and digital marketing services to a client that helps him in marketing.
Also, after live, we provide the fixed hours per month and dedicated employee support to the client so client and end-client can get the technical support and immediate response so a client can satisfy the needs of the end client and increase the business which directs result to our growth.
We follow only one approach Raving Fan for our client with a very clear vision that if our client grows then we will grow.
