Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?

MacAppStudio is an award-winning Multi-Million Dollar App Development Company, founded by Suresh and George, awarded the World's Most Valuable Developers award by Intel. We are a specialized app development studio with expertise in end-to-end design, development, deployment, and maintenance of web, mobile, and desktop applications.

We have worked with small startups who are just bootstrapping to Fortune 10 companies with revenues of over US$ 55 billion. We have helped over 14 multi-million dollar startups in the last two years.

I am Suresh Kumar G., CEO, and Co-Founder of the company. We, Suresh and George, the founders of MacAppStudio, have been awarded World's Most Valuable Developers by Intel and Intel BlackBelts. We enable the business to the next level.

What was the idea behind starting this organization?

The idea behind starting this organization is to enable the business to the next level and touch people's lives by delivering world-class pixel-perfect products and by doing digital transformation for companies. Having won many developer challenges by Intel and winning 200K USD, we found many companies had difficulty in digital transformation. We have built a rapid application framework that helps companies to launch their vision quickly, and they can see their baby (vision) growing right in front of their eyes, and development is no more a black box for customers. Time to market and timely delivery is very critical for business, and we understood this better by winning competitions continuously and quickly. We have built close to 1500+ frameworks and components that help to do high-quality delivery quickly.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We never do outsourcing or do body shopping. We are not here for money, we are creators, and we do create products. We are a product company in heart, and we craft world-class pixel-perfect products with a seamless process in place. All our work is in-house, and we have experts, we call them Ninjas, they do one work and expertise in only that, and they deliver exceptional work. We are the ones who chose our customers; it's not the other way round. We believe in working with passionate and great people with great ideas and vision.

How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?

We do give value; we treat it as our business. We have delivered 2000+ releases, and we have never missed a deadline. We don’t have any sales and marketing team. All our customers are inbound and word of mouth by success stories of our existing customers.  We believe in relationships, high values, ethics, and delivering great work. We see customers as friends. We have bootstrapped our company, and we are a multi-million dollar company helping our customers to become million-dollar companies. We make sure our customer grows, and we grow together. 
We have built an assembly line for the development of products right from requirements, design, UI, agile-based development. We have a transparent and clear process established. We have high integrity, and we are upfront and open in all our communications to our customers, so we end projects so happily as friends, and our success rate is 200%.

Customers see their baby going right in front of their eyes. We always sign off the UI design document, which looks like screenshots of apps so that there is no miscommunication ever with customers. We represent as CTO for our customers and make sure we say no to many things and yes for the right things. We carry successful relationships and trust for years.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

We deliver all industries that need digital transformation. We always go as a technical team and quickly grab the vision, and with the help of domain experts, we deliver world-class work. All our customers are repetitive, and they always have referred more customers and friends to us. We don’t have any sales and marketing team, and it's all inbound and word of mouth. 100% of our customers are repetitive; they come for phase 2, or they refer to other friends. It’s a long-term relationship that we have. We never believe in short-term relationships or working for money.

Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.

Speed is our USP. We deliver times faster than other companies because of our cutting-edge delivery and quality delivery. We have helped many startups and enterprises to come to market soon. People call us here as experts who bring the companies in crisis to a successful one. We have built frameworks and components which help us deliver to the time frame quickly. 
We have built an uber kind of platform in 3 months from scratch for a successful car company that was in a tough situation in technology. Any other simple apps would take 30- 60 days maximum with a weekly or 15 days release cycle.

What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?

We always recommend native platforms to our customers. Hybrid looks lucrative and cheap initially, but over the period for a real business, it makes us spend more. Native apps are always faster and readily available components on the same day of release of SDK from Apple, and Google helps our customers to explore the features.

Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?

We always recommend doing an MVP. Technology is not magic; if they have the right business model, which we recommend before jumping into technology. We have recommended many to run their business and then come to us for scaling many have run business in WhatsApp have an established process and business and customers. They come to us for technology enabling, and we help them to scale.
If they have an idea, we recommend doing an MVP, Android, iOS, or both depending upon the business use case. Mostly we recommend starting small and iterative and going big.

One of the customer Speed Learning came to us with a problem statement we launched in Android first, and then the customers and the profits lead us to scale to other platforms like iOS, etc.

Problem Faced
Speed did not have a digital platform to deliver the course contents. Primarily it was because of the apprehension that the course materials would be copied and misused. Since there was no digital platform, Speed could not automate the learning experience and scale nation-wide as they wanted to because opening physical centers all over India is not a scalable education delivery model.
Goal
To create an end to end app-based digital content delivery and learning platform for Speed students enabling them to study anywhere, anytime, and on any device. The students should be able to download the app, review the content for free, pay for any course, and study the course, and attend the exams.

Solution
MacAppStudio designed and developed an end-to-end learning platform for Speed Medical Institute called Speed Learning App. The full learning content was split into courses and further into modules like videos, books, and tests and arranged according to the subjects for easy access. The patent-pending tracking mechanism enables the user to see their progress in real-time and if they need to speed up to meet the exam deadlines. The app has the facility to deliver real-time mock exams and provide All India Rankings in a few seconds based on the previous year rankings, in addition to unit and subject-wise tests. The students can access videos in 4 different qualities and 3 speeds based on their connection speed. The books and class notes are provided in PDF format. A very robust security framework was provided to ensure that no content can be copied, downloaded, screen recorded or cast to any other device.

Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?

We will suggest a SaaS Model to generate revenue. 
1. Stability and Predictability
It is much easier to predict revenues based on regular subscription fees. SaaS business model lets you monitor all incoming invoices, contract expiration of particular clients, changes of subscription plans, etc. The risk of sudden revenue decrease is minimized, so it would be much easier to develop your marketing strategy.
 2. No Piracy
As a SaaS vendor, you do not sell a license for your software; you only deliver it to your customers on a pay-for-use basis or as a subscription-based on use metrics. In SaaS models, the cloud becomes a platform for data that is accessible only to paying customers. It declines the risk that someone would pirate your software, as you manage servers that host your data.
 3. Easier Expansion to Foreign Markets
You do not need resellers or middlemen to help you in the distribution of the SaaS business model. As your product is an Internet-based application, the only thing you need to market it globally is access to the internet.
 4. Service Delivery Automation
In my opinion, the best thing about operating in the SaaS model is its automation. The system works 24/7, so you can gain new clients at every moment of the day. There will always be a significant bunch of clients that enter your website and buy a subscription plan at once without any question. It means that you get revenues even when you and your whole staff sleep.
