Techugo’s team of Indian app developers collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of strategists, analysts and product managers to architect a developing system efficiently.
“They are like my permanent developers now; they have a team dedicated for my project. They don’t treat me as a client, but they treat me as a partner.” – Founder, Prozata
The client is a professional networking company that aims to offer employment opportunities based on referral model. Techugo was involved in developing an app for both iOS and Android platforms and right now developing a portal for them for the same purpose. With the app, the people can refer someone based on the jobs and requirements on the portal. The project was finished much before time as they staffed additional resources and also within the decided budget.
The client is highly satisfied with Techugo because of their proactive approach towards work and highly skilled team. The client has already recommended them to their colleagues and given them more projects to work on.
Designation – Founder
Nature of Business – Networking
Objective & Scope
1. What was the objective of the project you did with Techugo?
The objective is to develop a networking application that works upon referral model. Once I saw someone’s post on my social networking profile that they needed a marketing manager, so, I thought it could be beneficial, if I refer someone to him, he would be more confident of that person because he knows that it’s coming from a known person. He will have some trust on me and he knows that the person he’s hiring is trustworthy. So, that is the main concept of this application and that’s the purpose behind it. We have tied up with around twenty IT companies including a couple of major brands associated, they post their requirements on this portal and if anyone gets associated with them, then we get a commission on it.
2. What is the scope of the project? What all did Techugo do for you?
Prozata is a professional networking application, wherein you can refer your known for a job. We have tied up with some IT companies who are posting their jobs on this portal. I only had an idea in my mind, since I don’t come from a technical background that I wanted to do something like this. I approached Techugo and they did some brainstorming around the idea and came up with a solution. I presented that solution to my investors as well the board members and they all liked it. They started from designing the application as per our requirements and then started with wire-framing. They gave us the milestone document and thereafter started the UI design of the application. Once the UI was ready, we gave an approval to that, and after that they started the development. Post development they deployed the apps in both Android and iOS stores. We are also planning to go for windows and blackberry; that’s like in next two months. The portal is under development which will go live in next one month, I suppose.
3. What was the estimated timeframe committed for the completion of the project?
They said four months for the complete development and we agreed to that but later on they suggested that they can add additional resources to the project and complete it before time. We started around 25th January 2016, the day I signed the contract.
4. How much time did it actually take for completing the task?
We launched it around fifteen-twenty days back and it was completed in two and a half months. They added additional resources to the project and it was completed before time. We got live, I think, on 18th April 2016.
5. Please provide an approximate figure (in $) for the work done?
The initial contract was for forty-seven thousand dollars and then there were few add-ons amounting to five thousand dollars. So, in total it is fifty-two thousand dollars for the mobile application. The web portal is still to be developed which would cost around twelve thousand dollars.
6. Did they exceed the committed price point and why?
Not even at the single place, I mean, it was very transparent what they were charging so it was not exceeded.
7. How did you come to know about Techugo?
I came to know about them through one of my friends. There was a friend who had already made a project with them and he also knows people from the management at Techugo, so he told me that they are really good so I chose them.
8. Why did you choose to partner with them?
I interacted with around fifteen companies at that time because it was crazy money that we were planning to spend. We interviewed around fifteen to twenty companies and then finally we chose them after around a month of research. I only had an idea in my mind and from that idea, making things in actual, coming up with a presentation and to show that to my investors, generally it’s not their work to do, something that I had to do, but, Techugo stepped up and they said that they can give the presentation, so that is something none of the other companies did, they were only answering the questions which I asked, but there was no value-addition to it. That is what I liked about them. In addition to everything, its founders have immense experience in the industry.
9. Did Techugo evaluate your project scope and requirements correctly?
They have a better understanding of my project then I do. I don’t have anything to say, you already know what they did for me.
10. Did the company deliver as per your expectations?
They delivered more than my expectations and still they’re doing it.
11. Are you satisfied with the sales and customer support service?
The sales team was pretty good, they were very quick in replying to my emails if I had anything related to accounts or anything as such. The sales team was quick in resolving any query that I had from that perspective. And I have not needed their support team yet, as the application is live. They are like my permanent developers now; they have a team dedicated to my project.
12. Is there anything that makes them stand out compared to other companies (core Strengths)?
They are quite transparent in whatever they’re doing. I kind of know each and everything and every person who’s involved in the project. I can talk to anyone at any point of time, be it night, be it morning, they’re ready at my disposal, whenever I need them; they can come to my office. Their ability to understand the project is outstanding. They keep on asking questions until they get it right which sometimes irritates, but at the end of the day, it’s for your own good. They just don’t answer your questions; they even give suggestions on what you shouldn’t have and what you should have done. They don’t treat me as a client, but they treat me as a partner.
13. According to you, is there any area that you think they can improve upon?
No, they are up to the mark in whatever they have done. There were a couple of issues/bugs coming up in between, but they resolved it very proactively.
14. Did they offer proactive consultative approach? (Technical advice, design changes etc.)
It was exceptionally good. My investors and my board of directors include people from top-notch companies and they are really experienced people with forty to forty-five years of experience and they were really happy with the way they were explaining things, so they gave pretty good suggestions on what we should do and they have come up with a very nice suggestion as well which is going to incur us a lot of money but we are planning to go with it.
