Basecamp is more than just a project management tool — it’s a better way to work. Teams that switch to Basecamp are more productive and better organized. They communicate better and require fewer meetings. And they’re far more efficient than before. Here’s how Basecamp makes it happen.

In Basecamp, each project lives on a single page. With everything in reach, and every piece of information tracked and organized, everyone knows where to find what they need, and say what they need to say.

Besides unlimited projects, you’ll get pings for private conversations, reports to summarize the essentials, notification protections so you aren’t constantly distracted, a timeline showing you everything that’s happening, exceptional customer service, and plenty more to round it out.

Review Summary

We DigitalTriggers use Basecamp. Basecamp is one of the oldest project management tools, having been around for over a decade, establishing a reputation that makes it a highly credible tool for enterprises working on large-scale projects. The most recent version of the application includes many handy features, such as sending direct messages for rapid talks and setting a timetable. Hence, you only receive notifications during work hours and click an applaud button to demonstrate appreciation for coworkers. According to the company, Basecamp keeps discussions, tasks, files, schedules, and chats in one place so that work doesn't get scattered. There are also some useful functions for working with customers. For example, you can just save and track customer input and approvals and get reports on how projects are going. And you may create group chats when you wish to collaborate with others.

Review Summary

We, at PaydayLoansUK use Basecamp. Experienced in the project management world, Basecamp made its inception in 2004 and has developed a customer base of 3.5 million users. The software makes much of its ability to replace numerous other paid monthly services from Slack to Dropbox. Although it’s not always a whole replacement, the software takes many of those tools' features and rolls them all into one system. Calendars and scheduling, private messaging, real-time chat, file storage, and more are included. An uncluttered interface and robust search tools make it straightforward to find the image, task, or message you’re after, and a powerful reporting suite allows you to go as deep as needed.

We ConsumerGravity use Basecamp. It is the best project management software I have used. It accomplishes this by merging communication capabilities with file storage and dashboards for job management. With Basecamp, we can divide work into projects and assign the necessary participants to each. In addition to its message board, to-do lists, and shared timetable, each project has its message board. We may also configure automatic check-ins that prompt team members to provide status updates.

Review Summary

We Age Group use Basecamp. It is the most effective software for managing projects. The utility strongly emphasizes its capacity to take the role of a number of other paid monthly services, including Slack and Dropbox. Although the program cannot always be considered a complete substitute for those tools, it combines many of their capabilities into a single platform. This package includes scheduling and calendars, real-time chat, private messaging, file storage, and more. In addition, the robust reporting suite enables you to go as broad or as deep as is necessary. Working with customers is efficiently managed thanks to the incorporation of e-mail and the availability of the option to share specific tasks and messages with persons who the firm does not employ. Your notifications can be tailored to meet your specific requirements, including turning them off outside of normal business hours.

Review Summary

We Fly Caste Media have been using Basecamp for over six years on a daily basis. We looked into things like Slack and Trello but the team found them less intuitive to use. This is mainly because everybody’s chats and to-do lists are really easy to find and it is so easy to filter between team members to ensure who is responsible for what task on any job. Having looked at plenty of others I think the price point is really fair for what it does. It integrates really well with Dropbox, Google sheets, One drive,, and even Figma.

Review Summary

Our business Home Service Direct has been using Basecamp as our project management software for almost a year. It serves as a single place for all our projects and marketing campaigns. It helps us to allocate resources more effectively. It does an essential job of organizing, streamlining, and simplifying teamwork. We use this software daily for communication, task management, file management, and calendar management. One disadvantage of Basecamp is the cost. Plus, it doesn’t have a free version for businesses. However, all good things come with a price, so until we stumble upon a much better software than Basecamp, we’ll continue to use it.

Review Summary

Basecamp, a project management veteran, was founded in 2004 and has grown to a customer base of 3.5 million customers. The software claims its capacity to replace a variety of other paying monthly services, including Slack and Dropbox. While the program isn't often a comprehensive substitute, it does combine many of the functions of various tools into one system at EduRef. Scheduling and calendars are provided, as well as a real-time chat, private messaging, file storage, and more. A clean UI and powerful search capabilities make it simple to locate the task, image, or message you're looking for, and a robust reporting suite allows you to drill down as far as you need to. With e-mail integration and the option to share specific assignments and messages with persons outside the organization, working with customers is a breeze. Notifications can be tailored to your needs, including being turned off outside of business hours.

What do you like the most about Basecamp?

Its home dashboard will automatically give you a macro-perspective view of the organizations, teams, and projects you are managing.

Users can meticulously arrange meetings through Basecamp. One of its essential tools, “Schedule,” allows users to schedule events like a meeting.

You can do so by clicking a date on a calendar and filling out the information to indicate the event’s time, provide notes or descriptions about it (even attach documents), add meeting participants, and determine the event’s frequency.

You can select when to send a reminder at a preferred time-- whether on the day or one or two days before the event.

What do you like the least about Basecamp?

While it’s possible to integrate Basecamp with a plethora of cloud applications like Microsoft Teams, you may have to do so by using an independent platform.

Review Summary

At Mirror Coop, we tried Basecamp. Basecamp is pretty much a ProjectManagement tool that allows you to create To-do lists (create tasks and assign them) and schedule them into calendars so you can effectively supervise and manage several projects. It is also very fast and easy to use (There is an introduction video when you start using it).It allows communication, direct messaging, real-time group chats, and message board between the teams. It also allows for team collaboration and there is a file storage limit of up to 500GB which is pretty much. However, Basecamp is a bit pricey at $99 a month for a team as opposed to other remote working tools like Slack which even has a freemium plan. Also, while it offers great messaging tools, there is no video or audio communication option which can come in handy.Basecamp doesn’t offer time tracking and although you can add comments and notes to To-do lists, it doesn’t support subtasks. This means you have to generate a whole new To-Do list every time.

Good base for collaboration
