On par with paid cad systems for the most part. Very strong support.

Review Summary

There is only one major problem with this software compared with other systems, and that is if you reference a previous layer in the current layer (points, or lines etc) and then modify those previous layers, what you reference ends up being misplaced to somewhere else. This bug is being worked on and if you know about it can avoid it. Other than that, it has add on's for fluid simulation, assembly, fasteners, lithoplane, and many more.

Review Summary

If you are a total CAD newbie like me, you might find it a bit overwhelming at first. The interface is somewhat less user-friendly I feel. Once you get the hang of it, though, it’s a blast to use. FreeCAD lets you design all sorts of stuff- from simple 2D drawings to complex 3D models. And the good thing about this tool is that it is highly customizable. I can easily extensions and plugins as per my needs.
