Although Greenhouse has a sizable knowledge base for self-service, they could do better with their in-person support.

We Creditsafe use Greenhouse as our ATS for their excellent onboarding module with their software. It helps to give our candidates a fantastic and smooth transition into employment without needing to use any other third-party software. They also have their own mobile app, which can be checked on the go. We like to check Greenhouse around once a month as we don’t open applications very often. If we are looking to open applications, then this is checked a lot more frequently. The only negative point with Greenhouse is that their in-person customer support service could be a little more comprehensive. There is a proper self-service support system on their website, but the support team takes a while to respond.

We YardsNearMe use Greenhouse. It is used by the HR department of my company to improve the recruitment process and easily track applicants. HR managers and professionals use it at least once weekly to find and follow the best applicants and onboard them. This tool allows us to conduct back-to-back interviews, announce results instantly, take care of automated conversations and alerts, and automate complicated processes in the HR department. In addition, it helps in feedback collection, application processing, etc. With its help, it becomes easier for us to locate the required data. However, its reporting templates have limited customization options. I also face issues in data migration. It's also challenging to get the necessary customer service on time.

Greenhouse is my favorite ATS to work in. I’ve tried out a few in my career and Greenhouse has been the one that I keep coming back to over the years. It’s a bit pricy compared to some of the others but the functionality has been unmatched in many areas, like their video enablement and interview templates.

The produce is easy to use from the very beginning

The way that you review applicants is fast efficient and the process is the exact way that I like to work as a recruiter

The interview guides are really helpful and help the teams to do competency based interviews

The cost is a bit more than the others that are out there in the market

Review Summary

Greenhouse can do all the basic things other ATSs can do. There's nothing about it that sets it "above the rest." My main point of pain with them is they've decided the one way to recruit and their system is stuck to performing only that way. The features they release are ALWAYS missing a key part that would have made it awesome. They release new things without fully finishing other feature releases. Even their customer service reps agree they've dropped the ball on numerous feature releases when it comes to meeting customer needs. I also find their data API to be missing some key data points which make dashboarding and querying questions much harder.

It is easy to get around once you know where to go and what to do

Feature releases are never very good, or live up to the hype Greenhouse builds

The ease of scheduling interviews through the scheduling platform and integration with Google calendar.

The Add-On with the Google Sheets and the Report Connector make data analysis easy to replicate month after month.

What do you like the least about Greenhouse?

It is challenging to report on demographic characteristics. I think they are trying to take a race-blind approach which doesn't serve our needs.
