Bluewater Broadcasting

Bluewater Broadcasting was formed twenty years ago to purchase, own, and operate radio broadcast properties in the Southeast. In 2004 the Company purchased three FMs, and one AM in Montgomery, Alabama. Over the years the Company has greatly expanded its holdings in the city, and now owns and/or operates eight FM, and one AM station in the River Region. For 20 years Bluewater has offered a wide range of entertainment and information services centered on Montgomery and the River Region.

The Company has two Country stations (98.9 WBAM, Possum 103.9); two Urban oriented stations (97.9 Jamz and Yo! 100.5); two Rock stations (104.9 The Gump, 107.1 The Vault); one Adult Contemporary station (Kiss 961.1), and the only FM News and Local Talk radio station (NewsTalk 93.1) in the Capitol of Alabama. Bluewater also operates nine websites, 8 streaming services, and The Rich Thomas Weather Network. Bluewater Broadcasting is the most listened to radio group in the River Region, with 45% of the Metro population (145,700 people) listening to at least one of our stations weekly.

Bluewater is the only independent and locally owned and operated radio broadcast group in Central Alabama. The company and it’s employees operates by their slogan, “Local folks helping local business”. Bluewater is currently celebrating its 20 year anniversary serving the River Region.
