derek israelsen is a utah-based commercial photographer with an emphasis on product, lifestyle, and editorial photography. derek's attention to detail and ability to shape/ manipulate natural light allows him to create exceptional imagery for products, portraits, and commercials. it was derek's talent and eye that got him into business; but it is his consistent quality that has kept him in business for over 18 years.

although based in salt lake city, utah, derek is well traveled. some of his favorite places include the dominican republic, prague, salzburg, oahu, the black forest and flying around the skies!

when derek is not in capturing life's beautiful moments, he is spending time with his wife, their 3 children, and their dog, piper; usually somewhere in the great outdoors.
