Who We Are & How We Got Here​ Insight Planning & Development, LLC (Insight) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business based in Wilmington, North Carolina offering quality comprehensive planning and grant management consultant services. Insight was founded in 2020 by C. Ryan Cox and acquired Holland Consulting Planners, Inc (HCP) later the same year. HCP was initially founded in 1987 offering both planning and community development services to eastern North Carolina. Insight continues to offer the same services while expanding into other markets and is committed to providing exceptional level of services and expertise to our clients.​ Our staff consists of qualified professionals with an average of 25 years' experience in community development, planning, and hazard mitigation. The firm and staff members maintain memberships/certifications from the following organizations: American Planning Association, American Institute of Certified Planners, Association of State Floodplain Managers, Community Development Academy, and North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board.
