I have been a professional actor for 19 years. All has been pretty normal as a jobbing actor. Periods of being really busy and periods of 'resting'. But lately it's been a bit quieter through choice. I became a Dad in the summer of 2014 and decided that I didn't want to be away from home if I could help it. My son is the most important person in my life and as the saying goes 'They grow up so quick'... I like my wife also.
Through the years I've had my headshot taken by numerous people in London and the North. I've had mixed experiences but on the whole they've been pleasant and the end result has been perfectly satisfactory. Mostly though, they've been expensive. And this has always annoyed me slightly. I've seen people charging up to £500 for a session. That to me is beyond ridiculous. I mean £450 ok, but £500?! Please.
So, photography has always been a passion, but when I became an actor it took a back seat. When my son was born I found that as well as being a necessity, I got back the love of being behind the camera.
In the process of capturing adorable baby pictures, I decided to take my own headshot (not at the same time obviously. My wife would have loved that I'm sure).
