The idea of service is central to the way we operate, developing from the personal story of our Founder and CEO, Michael Saunders. Growing up on Longboat Key, she eventually transitioned from schoolteacher to social worker to a single mother taking out a co-signed loan to start her own business. Guided by strong ideals, creative thinking, and a foundation always rooted in customer care, Michael launched the company in 1976 in a 1,000 sq. ft. office on St. Armands Circle. Driven by the same set of core values and emphasis on brand independence, Michael’s son, Drayton, joined the company in 2003, helping to grow the company into what it is today – 24 branch offices and in-house divisions, including mortgage, title, insurance, relocation, new homes and condominiums and commercial.
