Nicolas Sage

Nicolas Sage is a husband, father of two, cancer survivor and a remarkable photographer.

Nicolas Sage studied photography at Santa Monica College, UCLA Extension, and completed a six-month master photography program instructed by world-renowned photographer and educator Bobbi Lane. He has had over fifteen years experience in the field. In 2006, he was asked by the Shambhala Mountain Center to photograph the Dalai Lama at his speaking engagement in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. A versatile artist, Nicolas has also worked with families, children, students, schools, fitness experts, musicians, authors and celebrities. Nicolas also enjoys wedding photography and photographing sporting events. His work has appeared on various book covers.

When not taking pictures, Nicolas enjoys spending time with his family and friends, coaching his son’s baseball team, exercising, juicing, mountain biking, listening to his favorite radio station KCRW, and attending musical and comedy performances.

Initially, Nicolas relocated to Los Angeles from Taos, New Mexico to pursue a career in the music industry. He worked for a few record companies and had his own booking agency before he developed an interest in photography. His first paid photography gig was photographing the techno / industrial band, Lords of Acid at the Hollywood Palladium.
