We Are Example

We Are Example is an independent brand strategy, PR and placemaking agency founded in 2017, with studios in Sydney, Australia and Dubai, UAE.

We work with hotels, restaurant and bar groups, drinks brands, property developers and tourism boards across Australia, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Our work spans brand strategy and positioning, brand and identity, PR and communications, social and content, placemaking, experiential, earned creative, and influencer and talent.

We specialise in the point where culture, hospitality and place meet. Every idea runs through our EDGE framework, a talkability test built on four questions. Is it unexpected, is it desirable, is it generous, is it emotional. Ideas that pass earn attention. Placemaking runs on our proprietary 6-Stage Destination Model, which starts at concept stage before the architect is briefed.

Results include a 31 percent ADR increase and a 47 percent direct booking rate for JW Marriott, the highest in Marriott's APAC portfolio, and a 129 percent sales uplift for Don Julio 1942 off more than 850 pieces of earned coverage.
