Zumpano

The company traces its lineage back to 1960, and started as Fred Zumpano, Builder. The company began building modest and economical ranch homes, typical of that period. The focus was on the Kenmore community of Akron, but homes were built across the city, all from an office at the corner of Kenmore Boulevard and 8th Street Southwest. In 1962, small duplex ranch style apartments were added to their building activity in order to satisfy the needs of Akron’s manufacturing workers and their families. By the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s, apartments were the company’s primary focus. Founder Fred Zumpano passed away in 1978, leaving behind a legacy of honesty and integrity in business dealings.
