Las Vegas 08th Jan–goodfirms, a universally renowned B2B ratings, and reviews platform, has released its much anticipated survey analysis of its recent research on, "How Does AI User Experience Elevate Design? Generative UX/UI Trends and Tips for Business Growth." The report highlights AI user experience design trends for 2025 and beyond. It also attempts to disclose the use cases, benefits and challenges employing AI in the UX/UI design process.

AI has become the most powerful tool in reshaping the design industry. Connecting to this, Goodfirms survey was able to identify that 78.2% are leveraging GenAI to improve UX/UI design. GenAI is assisting designers in various forms including content creation, generative design, prototyping, real-time suggestion/feedback, personalization, predictive analytics and testing.
Goodfirms survey also highlighted the numerous benefits of using GenAI in the design industry such as enhanced productivity (63.1%), faster time to market (60%), cost-effective (57.7%), improved creativity (54.6%), enhanced user experience (46.2%), data-driven decision making (40%), conversational UI (31.5%) and many more, as indicated by the survey findings.
Lack of human creativity, lack of originality, data quality, privacy concerns, absence of user-centric approach, customization limitations, input-based output, and technical complexity are a few challenges of integrating GenAI with UX, mentioned the participants.
Analyzing about the best practices, goodfirms’ survey was able to gather that selecting the right tools that aligns with the needs, experimenting with MVP, defining use cases, conversational prompts to collect feedback, maintaining ethical practices, accessibility and inclusiveness as the best practices followed by the survey responders.
About the emerging trends in AI-powered UX/UI design, there were several responses that mentioned adaptive layouts, interactive prototype, personalized user journey mapping, voice-enabled design, AI-algorithms, improved accessibility, and emotional design as the trend that will be seen in 2025 and beyond
“Although there is no field untouched by AI, the designers should be able to strategize the usage of GenAI by considering various factors and best practices to obtain benefits from its advanced algorithms, and automation in UX designing,” Goodfirms concludes.
Key Findings:
- Customization limitations are a challenge for 34.6% of the survey respondents when using GenAI in design.
- About 50.8% of the survey participants mentioned selecting the right tools can work in favor.
- Around 39.7% of the surveyees said that personalized user journey mapping is an emerging trend in the AI UX industry.
