AVO started as a scanner for iPhone. The problem people actually described was different: a household with six devices, several of them belonging to someone who would never open a security app on purpose.

So the product changed shape. One account, one subscription, and rules that follow a person across their devices rather than being configured on each one. A scan tells you what it found and waits. Nothing is quarantined or removed until you say so. iOS does not let one app inspect another. We put that in the comparison table rather than leaving a blank where a tick should be. Red banners and countdown timers sell upgrades. They do not make anyone safer, so the app does not have them. Web Shield sees the domains a device asks for. That data is not sold, shared or used to build a profile.
