Home health agencies face enough challenges in meeting the daily needs of their business. Managing multiple software programs shouldn't be one of them. When asked to elevate DME/HME software for a family friend, Sunny Patel sought to change that reality. He saw firsthand the cumbersome process and inefficient workflows ingrained in the antiquated systems and knew it was time for innovation. He knew he could make a difference, especially since he and his family had been doing just that in the outpatient physical therapy EMR space for more than 20 years.

That was the beginning of Curasev, a company named for its mission of taking care (Latin cura, Hindi seva) of others. In developing the platform, Sunny took a deep dive into the DME world. He spent time with DME organizations of various scopes and scales in different geographic locations. He studied logistics, warehousing, delivery, revenue and administration, documenting each department s workflow and culling out the pain points.
