Open source Student Information System for school management and communication

RosarioSIS features students demographics, grades, scheduling, attendance, student billing, discipline & food service modules for school management, in one web-application. Primarily designed for K-12 schools, it will easily fit for any educative institution like a university, an academy, or an institute.
Additional modules include staff absence, meeting, entry and exit, certificates, student ID cards, and more.
With RosarioSIS, you can produce PDF reports, export listings to Excel and consult statistical charts for decision-making.
RosarioSIS also comes with a built-in solution to manage student applications / allow self-registration, online.
The system can integrate with Moodle LMS, PayPal or Stripe to collect payments, and Microsoft or Google as login providers.
Finally, RosarioSIS is multilingual.

  • For me, this one is nice so no complaints.
  • I did not like that there is not a built in feature to set up Oauth 2.0. But there is built in function to add Google and Facebook Login.
  • Overall, Rosario SIS is a solid and dependable system with a strong foundation. With some thoughtful refinements—particularly around user interface clarity, performance optimization, and feature flexibility—it could become an even more valuable asset for its users. Continuous improvements like these would ensure it remains competitive and better aligned with evolving user needs.

All in one package for small and large schools

RosarioSIS is an all in one student information system package, I have been using it for my online school for over two years. It creates an environment where student, parents and teachers can communicate and share information relevant to students. It's very customizable and I love the wide variety of extended features through different free plugins and modules.

I appreciate the fact that the Moodle Integration is built in and ready to be activated upon installation. The integration allow you to create users in Moodle and enroll them in courses right from the Student Information System. Also I like that there is a free version of almost all the premium plugins and modules, so it does not force you to upgrade.

Mind-blowing solution!! After 2 months of experience, I am saying that this is the best tool for school management. Believe me, I have tried a bunch of similar solutions, but this is the best so far. It has helped me a lot to manage my school system.
