Review Summary

I was very surprised by just how incredibly useful this software really is! It offers a range of powerful tools that make creating 3D models a breeze. The push-pull feature, in particular, is like pure magic- it allows you to extrude and manipulate surfaces with simple clicks and drags. And the cool thing about this software is it’s a vast library of pre-built 3D models, and its ready-to-use objects save us tons of time and effort. It also offers plugins and extensions like woodworking, architecture, and more for giving us the next level of creativity.

Review Summary

We fitnhome use SketchUp. have used SketchUp since I was a college student. And as I was already started working, I still use it whenever 3D modeling is needed, twice to thrice a week. Sketup is a great choice for users looking for a user-friendly and affordable, especially for architecture and design. However, it may not be the best option for those requiring advanced features and complex modeling. Known for its easy-to-use interface, that's why it is an excellent choice for beginners and experienced designers. Allows users to quickly create and edit models. It has a big library of pre-made models and textures, known as the 3D warehouse, and can be used in projects. Offers various pricing options, including a free version, making it accessible for students. It has a community of developers creating plugins and extensions that expands. Lacks some of the advanced features found in more powerful 3d Modeling software, such as 3ds Max or Blender.

Review Summary

We Beth R Martin Design use SketchUp. I studied Architecture in college, and using SketchUp in school was highly frowned upon. It was seen as too lightweight and generally an oversimplification of architecture in its purest form. Now I own my own firm and use SketchUp daily. SketchUp might feel cartoonish to people who are used to reading drawings, but working with clients, I find this abstraction extremely helpful. Since the renderings look like working drawings, nothing ever looks too finished or like it's too far along to change. A perfect rendering can be intimidating to someone uninitiated by the process, and SketchUp reigns supreme here. The only thing I've found better - or similar is drawing by hand.
