Smallest.ai is a San Francisco–headquartered AI startup founded in 2023 by IIT alumni Sudarshan Kamath and Akshat Mandloi, backed by investors such as 3one4 Capital, Better Capital, and Upsparks Capital. Our core vision is to make voice AI accessible at scale by building lean, high‑performance TTS and voice‑agent models from scratch—delivering hyper-realistic, low‑latency speech across multiple languages at a fraction of the cost of conventional providers. Our flagship model, Lightning, generates up to 10 seconds of human‑quality audio in just 100 ms via REST API, with pricing as low as $0.02 per minute—enabling population‑scale deployment of voicebots, audiobooks, social media voiceovers, and more.

We follow a full‑stack Voice AI approach—developing models, infrastructure, and apps in-house—for seamless integration, fine-grained control, and enterprise‑grade security (SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, PCI compliant).
