Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
inVeritaSoft is a family-owned custom software company with a focus on building FinTech and Logistics solutions. Headquartered in Lviv, Ukraine and being present in Chicago and New York company was founded on unique values, where the quality of delivery, customer satisfaction, and individual employee growth matters prior revenue and profits.

As a COO I am mostly conducting sales and at some point have some impact on delivery. As we grew from nothing to over a hundred employees, I’ve been wearing pretty much every hat a technology company could offer.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
My brother and I founded this company 3.5 years ago when we realized that most of the local service providers see clients as "cash cows," rather than long term partners. The idea is to create a company on a business model where entrepreneurs can access the top 5% of Ukrainian IT talents, without been cheated or mislead.
What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We believe that culture and environment people are operating within daily matters a lot. That is why every employee is located in-house in a single office in Lviv.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
As an outsourcing company, our growth depends on our client’s growth, that is why clients' success is our main priority as we believe revenue is something coming with that. Despite inVeritaSoft building a firm dedicated team for our customers, we have strong expertise in Logistics and Finance(trading) where we can bring even more value to the clients with the technology and knowledge we have.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive?
Despite many businesses knocking our doors and are always welcome from well-funded start-ups to enterprise size clients, we strive to build vertical expertise in Logistics and Finance.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a web app.
Good understanding of clients’ business goals.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a web app?
Some projects are more back-end heavy, some of the above are much more front-end heavy so you really need to see a specific case to be able to answer the question.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a web application?
Yet again it depends on a specific case but we believe that in-house technology expertise of your technology partner is what really matters.
Which platform and technologies do you prefer to use in development of your web apps?
When it comes to a back-end, we mostly choose .NET and Node.js over everything else unless we have a specific case or part of the scope which needs a different approach. In most cases, front-end is mostly Angular or React-based, but we have some projects developed with the help of Vue.js and without frameworks.
Do you offer website design templates or customised website design, and do you have a responsive website design?
99% of our projects have custom build UI/UX.
Which Content Management System do you prefer to use (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupaletc)?
We prefer and mostly build CMS from scratch to fit the specific needs of a particular project.
Do you provide website maintenance services?
We do mostly maintain and support the projects we deliver.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a web application?
All functional and non-functional requirements, clients timeline and budget overall as well as client’s business goals.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
Monthly fee in case of a dedicated team and Per sprint billing(every two weeks) in case of outsource model cooperation.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
$50,000 is something we strive to set as a minimum but it depends on the client’s size/team and perspectives of growth.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?
The price range of the projects we catered in 2018 was from $30000 to $mil+

The new, modular architecture we created allows MediaShout to operate in other major fields, serving different business models, enhancing their user experience, and extending their target audience.

The desktop application was remade from scratch with a completely new approach, and about half of the new ideas that were suggested from our side were successfully implemented. This includes not only an evolution of features, but also of methodology, approach, cooperation, support, being agile, and defining priorities.

An application that manages the basic flow of documents for accounting & financial departments and cashier systems. This is a huge project, which was in development for over 10 years before we took part in it.

The main challenge for us was to put into practice the knowledge and experience we received from the product owners and internal development team. We had to follow development patterns that were already established on the project for years and still integrate the latest tools and technologies.

Westarc.ArcUser, a web application for communities with cashier systems, etc. It has UI customization based on XML templates and uses WCF to notify members of important information via SMS, emails, or letters.

A client approached us with a revolutionary idea: create the world’s most powerful web application for tracking anything weather related, while keeping the user interface simple, friendly, and enjoyable.

One of the major challenges that the team encountered was to show weather patterns in real time, overlaying that effect onto existing imagery. We wanted the user to feel total control and connection with what happens on the screen, allowing them to intuitively track any weather pattern or metric, including cyclones and anticyclones, wind direction, speed, precipitation, etc.

A new mobile application that has a smooth user experience, using the OpenGL API to solve the problem of overlaying visualized data. It not only offers high-level weather analytics, but also includes professional climate-related services.

Education

An analytics and management tool for schools in the USA based on Moodle. We (and our client) use Moodle as a framework to build many different kinds of learning and education solutions. At times, we simply re-skin the existing project, and it’s ready for delivery. The client is from Miami and has BMW, Stanford, and MIT, along with 100+ other clients using its Moodle solutions, which we develop.

Learning how Moodle works was a challenge, because it is a huge, somewhat older, but still powerful framework for the development of education projects. Our client is, at the same time, also working on providing their clients with possible, non-moodle solutions based on the latest frontend technologies.

We help extract statistical data gathered in Moodle and present it on a single dashboard in the form of printable charts, graphs, and multiple formatted reports.
