J. Allen Mastantuno is a Charleston native and experienced trial attorney known for aggressively representing individuals who have been seriously injured or charged with criminal offenses. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the College of Charleston in 2003 and his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2007.

Allen began his legal career gaining hands-on experience with the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Charleston, where he developed a strong foundation in criminal defense within the federal system.

From 2008 to 2010, he served as a prosecutor for South Carolina’s Ninth Judicial Circuit, covering Charleston and Berkeley Counties. During that time, he became the lead DUI prosecutor in Berkeley County, handling over 100 DUI cases ranging from first offenses to Felony DUI involving death. He also tried serious cases including Armed Robbery, Burglary, and other violent crimes, building a reputation as a skilled and relentless trial attorney.
