Spindlewise

Spindlewise is quoting software for small CNC machine shops, built for milling and turning job shops with 1 to 20 people in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US, Canada and Europe.

A quote is built from the shop's own rates: machine hourly rates, labour, setup, cycle time, CAM programming, material blanks, outside processing, overhead and margin. Spindlewise prices several quantities at once and shows every line behind each price, so a quote can be explained and checked. On the Pro plan it measures STEP and IGES models (smallest blank, holes, slots, pockets), reads drawings for material and tolerances, takes requests through an online form or email address, lets the buyer accept online with a PO number, and exports won quotes to Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.

After the job, operators log time on a phone, and the shop sees quoted against actual hours and which jobs made money. Quotes are in the shop's currency with local tax and units.
