So, what are Meta viewports? The visible region of a web page is set by the Meta viewport tag. It is used to instruct the browser on various screen sizes (i.e., desktop/tablet/mobile) to render the website. They are basically the same thing as a "viewport", and the former is also sometimes referred to as a "meta-viewport” or "meta-view". These can be found in any graphics application and are used for displaying a preview image on the web page.Viewports are simply a preview image that is placed on your web page on the screen. It looks like a regular, normal image, but instead of being displayed right there on the screen, it is displayed on the page by a special type of server software that is referred to as a "viewport". A "viewport" usually connects to a graphics card, and this connection usually displays the image on the page in a format that resembles an enlarged version of the original, which is what you would see when viewing the web page.Viewport basicsHere is how we incorporate viewport code in our page:The width property controls the viewport's size. It can be placed to a particular pixel density, such as width=600, or to a device-width special value, which is the screen width in CSS pixels at 100 percent scale. When the page is first loaded, the initial-scale property controls the zoom level. The maximum-scale, minimum-scale and user-scalable properties control how the page may be zoomed in or out by users. What makes viewports a useful tool for web developers? This is because they allow designers to create interactive elements on their pages without having to write code in order to do so. A viewport is used to display a specific image or some other type of animated element in a "virtual browser" that allows you to view the image in its full size in your browser. This way, you can interact with a particular piece of graphics while still viewing it in its normal state. In final words, why should you use one for my web page? Well, for starters, you can't use a regular image on a web page - the images must be rendered as they were created by a viewport.
