• The organisation of the conference was supported by The Vietnam Fisheries Society (VINAFIS), the International Collaborating Center for Aquaculture and Fisheries Sustainability (ICAFIS)
• Aquaculture Vietnam welcomed over 5,000 visitors, 130 exhibitors from 30 countries with extensive coverage of feed processing, seed production and sustainable aquatic farming solutions, and brought businesses and suppliers together for fruitful cooperation.

•  This was the first time an Indonesian delegation participated in Vietfish, which was a highly strategic event where industry actors were able to gain insights not only into the Vietnamese market but also into other countries with Mr. Ibnu Hadi, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia as the Guest-of-Honour.

Inception Seminar for OPTOCE

• Organized by the Norad - Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and the Norwegian Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research (SINTEF), the inception meeting was purposefully intimate in size with a format and content designed on the basis of the project "Ocean Plastic Turned into an Opportunity in the Circular Economy (OPTOCE)”.
• The project was geared towards the actions of collecting wastes from polluted hot-spots, major river basins, and beachfront areas and using waste as a source of energy in local energy-intensive industries with the aim to reduce the release of plastic waste to the ocean through the involvement of local energy-intensive industries in waste management and energy recovery.
