It's a big responsibility to translate industry-specific articles aimed at an expert audience, but that's the job we were given by InterSystems. To localize their content flawlessly, we not only chose native-speaking translators with expertise in the relevant domain but also created a glossary with which to ensure the consistency of terms in different pieces of content. Thus, we laid the foundation for success with additional tasks for InterSystems, including the localization of tags, descriptions, UI elements, news and other content, all of which was important in context. Today, Alconost gives the InterSystems team a helping hand when they need to transcribe and translate voiceovers from videos.

It can be a challenge to localize an app with advanced features such as smart deletion of identical photos, video deletion and identification of similar photos. The context-specific nature of some of these features requires precise translation, and inconsistencies in translations can lead to confusion that will negatively impact the user experience.

We work closely with the client to clarify any context-specific terms and ensure consistency in the translations. Our team uses a glossary and translation memory while working on the Crowdin localization platform to ensure accuracy and consistency across all languages. As new updates are released, we continue to work on the app's localization while providing support to ensure the best possible user experience for worldwide users of Darksy Cleaner.

When tasked with localizing the game "Bunny Boom," a thrilling marble shooter in the style of Zuma, it was occasionally challenging to grasp specific contexts and accurately translate certain phrases. A deep understanding of the source text was essential in order to ensure precise localization that embodied the essence of the Bunny Boom game.

Alconost engaged with the client to request and gather relevant screenshots. Armed with those visual aids, the team of linguists meticulously translated the text into seven languages, ensuring a seamless adaptation that captured the game's nuances. This solution ensured that our localization accurately reflected the game's narrative and maintained a high level of user engagement in the target language.

Translation tasks come from different members of the Playwing distributed team, but itʼs never a problem. Alconost has assigned a permanent team of translators to Playwing's projects. The translators easily navigate in the context and know the requirements for every piece of content. As a result, the localization process is hassle-free for the client!

Over the past two years, Alconost has translated dozens of projects for the Playwing team and partners. We havenʼt missed a single deadline.

We conduct localization projects using PEMT, or post-edited machine translation, for the Aviloo company. To obtain a raw machine translation of acceptable quality, we tested six translation engines and had native-speaking translators assess the results. Their evaluations revealed that with some target languages, some engines could outperform the rest. So, for each language pair we selected the engine with the best performance and most complete translation.
