Unpaid for final 3 months of work.
My experience with Alive Events Agency was deeply disappointing.
After 6 months of delivering high-level marketing services, they withheld payment for the final three months of work, then issued an ultimatum: accept 50% or receive nothing—despite already working at a heavily discounted rate.
They'd already refused payment for the first 3 months of payment but relented when I denied them access to some of the marketing assets I'd created for them. I should have stopped work then, but wanted to finish what I'd set out to achieve.
Before refusing payment for the second time, they locked me out of SharePoint, denying access to assets I created.
They then accused me of criminal conduct for asserting my right to be paid. A professional dispute turned hostile, with threats instead of resolution. Freelancers, proceed with caution.

Digital Marketing
Describe your project in brief
A major marketing and CRM transformation project
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
I enjoyed the strategic challenges and the opportunity to help elevate their digital and CRM capabilities.
What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?
They issued me with an ultimatum - Accept half or agree to accept nothing. When I argued, they employed a lawyer to send threatening emails. The cost of the multiple lawyer emails far outweighed what they owed me illustrating their intent was never 'fair play.'
