Austin Freight Systems (AFS)  is a transportation broker providing expert supply chain and capacity solutions. AFS is headquartered in Austin, Texas with a branch in Chicago, Illinois. Austin Freight’s asset based sister company, Sutton Transport, is also based in Austin, Texas for all of our customers’ transportation needs. AFS also specializes in outbound and inbound freight for the California market.

Austin Freight Systems, Inc. (AFS) has grown into a corporation that is now moving into a new headquarters to support our extraordinary continued growth. In addition to our affiliate company, asset based, Sutton Transport, our sister company,, AFS also has a vetted carrier base of over 10,000 trucking partners.

Austin Freight Systems was founded by Brian Sutton and George Copeland in May of 1996. The two industry veterans and owners of AFS have a combined 80 years of experience together in trucking and transportation. Both owners have considerable experience as pioneers in LTL freight consolidation prior to the opening of Austin Freight Systems.

Mr. George Copeland & Mr. Brian Sutton also founded Sutton Transport in 1999, an asset based nationwide truckload provider. Mr. Copeland & Mr. Sutton are also partners in numerous real estate ventures.

AFS employees are dedicated to fulfilling our customers’ capacity and logistic needs in any type of industry conditions. The company hauled over 9,500 truckloads for their customer base in 2017. Moreover, with business continuing to grow, AFS is one of the most dependable and trustworthy freight brokerages in America.
